09/12/2014 16:41 | "Mitsui & Co. (8031) said it agreed to pay $763 million for stakes in a Mozambique coal project owned by Vale SA (VALE5), signaling confidence from Japan’s second-largest trading house in a recovery in coking coal prices. The Japanese trader will take a 15 percent stake in the Moatize mine and half of Vale’s 70 percent stake in associated rail and port infrastructure, Mitsui said in a statement to the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The company will pay $450 million for the mine and $313 million for the infrastructure project, known as Nacala Logistic Corridor, or NLC, it said." OMG it only confirms our BODs inability to do anything apart from looking for their own salaries. While they try to stay afloat with their jobs, their neighbours from behind the fence make REAL deal $450 million for 15 percent stake in the mine... INCREDIBLE !!! | puphead
09/12/2014 16:33 | ayub1; if we can get the resolutions passed at the EGM, then yes. Most here don't want that though and would rather throw their toys out the pram. humbugg; who exactly got the $25M debt in the first place? Who exactly is responsible for the crash in coking coal prices? Who in their right mind would choose to close up shop when coking coal prices hare likely AT THE BOTTOM and expected to rise in 2016? (even if they don't, as a tier 1 producer, we can survive until they do, but not if we vote No). | librag
09/12/2014 16:00 | Here here humbugg | casabella2
09/12/2014 15:57 | What's going on will it recover | ayub1
09/12/2014 15:20 | And see the future. Casabella; of course you want to screw them because you've lost almost all your investment. If you can't see that now is the time to do what the IIs are doing and reinvest for 2016, I really don't know what else to say to you. It seems that you're less interested in getting out of the hole we're in and more interested in a temper tantrum. That's your right but it's embarrassing to watch. GL. What on earth is your average here? Did you buy and hold? Good grief. | librag
09/12/2014 15:15 | LibraG wrote"follow your money".Do you mean right down the pan.Myinvestment value is now less than £50,not much more to lose.I'm sure the bod have a lot more to lose than than that. They have no qualms about screwing us i've none about screwing them. No, No, No.The b'stards are only interested in saving themselves. | casabella2 |
