16/6/2014 10:45 | reeltime, If the track record for BVC is anything to go by and indeed past performance, then the omission in the RNS of the value of these contracts would almost certainly infer that it's likely to be of little nominal revenue. If the value was worth mentioning then they would have done so. That said, a contract win is just that and so this is a positive RNS, but we've been here before with very little if anything to show for. 0.25p higher on the news is the best we seem to be able to muster, assuming we can hold onto any gain that is. 16/6/2014 08:23 | Looks like two potentially decent contracts, somewhat disappointing though that once again there is no mention of how much they are worth to the company!!! | reeltime
16/6/2014 07:30 | amt "currently being deployed in the US ......etc...." infers that it is a global provider......imho. | spekky
16/6/2014 07:22 | Why do think it could be huge, it states the first contract is the smaller. I don't understand it to be honest. | amt
16/6/2014 07:19 | BATM Advanced Communications Ld BATM wins two telecoms contracts in the US TIDMBVC BATM Advanced Communications Ld 16 June 2014 16 June 2014 BATM Advanced Communications Limited ("BATM" or "the Group") BATM wins two telecoms contracts in the United States New projects to upgrade service networks with 10GE connection BATM Advanced Communications Limited (LSE: BVC; TASE: BATM), a leading provider of real-time technologies for the networked telecoms and medical laboratory equipment markets, is pleased to announce that, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Telco Systems, it has been awarded two contracts to provide its telecommunications solutions to service providers in the United States for the upgrade of existing networks. Under the smaller of the contracts, the Group delivered its solutions based on Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), a mechanism for high-performance telecommunications networks, including the T-Metro 8001 aggregation platform and Edge Genie management system, to a service provider focusing on interactive voice and IP telephony services for both large and small enterprises. By deploying the Group's comprehensive 10GE solutions, the customer is able to offer improved services, including low latency, high availability and high bandwidth. Currently being deployed in the US, the customer also adopted the Group's Network Operations Center - which includes training, support, design and consulting services - in anticipation of expanding the network to further territoriesin the coming months. The second contract, which is currently being deployed, is with a local service provider in Louisiana where the Group is the prime vendor in a project to provide 165 schools in the south of the state with 10GE network connections. This roll out is being delivered under the Schools & Libraries Universal Service Fund Program, or 'E-Rate Program', which is a federal government programme to help schools and libraries obtain affordable telecommunications services, broadband Internet access and internal network connections. In addition to its aggregation platforms and management system, the Group is providing its latest network interface device, the T-Marc 334S. Dr Zvi Marom, Chief Executive Officer of BATM, said: "These new contracts reflect the continued and growing demand for upgrading existing networks. With our strong portfolio of products, and vast experience as a Carrier Ethernet and MPLS solution provider, we are well-positioned to address this demand. We look forward to expanding on these projects and benefiting from further opportunities." 03/6/2014 16:43 | A sudden rise like that sniffs of a takeover. | amt
03/6/2014 16:15 | They are technically undervalued to 22p but given the information that the company is seeing sales growth, has a good pipeline to future orders + we have the real possibility of a Telco takeover........... All that put together they look like a buy Of course we have been in this position countless time before over the years Understandably the shares are discounted on skepticism All IMO | fse
