Yep it's called bribery...most frown on it when public funds and a public health crisis are involved..if the numbers are correct they are also idiots paying those kind of sums for small contracts...there's no good on this if you believe the prosecutors findings however much one glosses over it. Only hope is it goes nowhere but that does not mend it.

Of course if the company was innocent of all charges they would be commenting and opening their books to an independent audit instead they have quietly moved Zvi sideways and allowed his protege to take the ceo role so aside from the all the puffers here it looks uninvestable on corporate governance issues at all levels

kooba its boring and unfounded and at the very worst Adaltis paid too much to some 3rd party when they did not have to. They could be negligent by association which is not illegal just unfortunate. Why would they spend 1m to get 2m business.
Think the figures are a tad carried away.

What I would agree with is that there is way too much graft in that part of the world although the further east you go the worse it gets.
I was docked in the Porto Communale in Ischia and it cost me a package of cigarettes to get the key to the water tap..... and I dont even smoke but was forced to buy a carton or two.

This is a different rat the first one was caught offering their services to dig up dirt on Companies and individuals for a charge. I dont know where this one came from. I think its a virtual rat.

"Orders for molecular swabs
At the expense of Di Donna and his co-investigators who, according to the accusation, "associated themselves in order to receive benefits from private subjects by exploiting and making available to each other the relations of each of them with subjects hinged at the top of public institutions and contracting structures There were some reports of suspicious transactions by the Bank of Italy. But what triggered the investigation (initially for corruption, then declassified) was the complaint of an entrepreneur who, after an initial supply of surgical masks, was looking for other orders. A friend had pointed out to him the lawyers Di Donna and Esposito (former director general of the Ministry of Economic Development) who "had made him sign an agreement for the recognition in their favor of sums of money as a percentage of the amount of the loans that they would have obtained from the commissioner structure; the two had not failed to point out Di Donna's proximity to institutional government circles ». After a second meeting at the Alpa studio, the entrepreneur had pulled back because of "the opaque modalities of the mediation proposal".

The transfers after the signing of the contracts
Subsequent investigations found that following a contract obtained by the Adaltis company for the supply of molecular tests, Di Donna, Esposito and De Luca would have earned at least 381,800 euros (but another calculation brings the figure to about 800,000). Obtained and divided up with regular transfers, although for the Prosecutor it is "undue remuneration for illicit mediation, as it is hidden and based on personal relationships with public officials of the commissioner structure". The first contract for Adaltis, "with a negotiated procedure and without prior publication of a notice", was signed in June 2020, but the offer was presented and accepted in mid-May. In that period the carabinieri ascertained, in addition to the meetings between entrepreneurs and mediators, "various telephone communications" between Esposito, Di Donna and members of the anti-Covid structure. Investigators report the "numerous contacts" between Esposito, Commissioner Arcuri and the logistics manager of the organization. Furthermore, there are contacts between Di Donna and Arcuri which begin on May 5th and end on the 15th, between the beginning and the end of Adaltis's offer. Which, however, the former emergency structure pointed out, would have been chosen by the Regions after the initial indications of Confindustria medical devices. In December 2020 Adaltis received new molecular test contracts for almost 2 and a half million euros, after which "Di Donna, Esposito and De Luca received wire transfers that do not currently find a legitimate explanation". A consultant of the company, intercepted, says that Di Donna and De Luca offered an annual consultancy: "Valerio (De Luca, ed) told him that the level with which they relate is so high that he shouldn't expect a very cheap contract ». Other paid intermediation would have involved funding from Invitalia and the Ministry for Economic Development.

Well FSE that is clearly not what the article says is it...it says they paid large amounts for introductions that led to contracts.it may be how things are done in Italy and you are comfortable with that..but your assertion that they were under pressure to deliver more and didn't need to get a purchase foot in the door flies in the face of the evidence.

Simple answer to your comment that Adalatis exonerated would be fine thanks.There are some bullish points Yep but I am concerned at lack of visibility and the complexity of the structure ..when things like this come up involving key subsidiaries in key areas of operation excuse me if I ask questions...if the company announced tomorrow that they were cooperating in an enquiry of using improper political contacts to gain business I think it would be highly price sensitive don't you ??

It has been a good day on the market today and you as a declared investor surely must be pleased? I suggest we draw a line under this and move on. Adaltis have been struggling to meet demand they don’t need to as you put it buy business. More likely being Italian the government pressed them for test kits. Also they are audited.

Not my point. I'm talking about multiple legacy accusations, 'issues' that continue to be raised but have clearly not resulted in any negative consequences, though the fullness of time would have virtually assured they would have if there was any merit in any of them. Now we are faced with yet another such sketchy implication of malfeasance, based on the vaguest kind of guilt by association with a professional the Company - as far as I can tell - has done little if any material business with, in a COUNTRY that doesn't represent a major percentage of its overall divisional sales. Ask ratty where his EVIDENCE is to the contrary, kooba, instead of immediately turning your fire on posters with a long record of honourable scholarship here. Then we can talk.

The hypothesis that if nothing has been declared to the regulator or exposed then nothing can possibly be wrong..i think there are many examples where this is entirely wrong assumption ...and a very expensive one. Watch Skandal its a great documentary.I await resistance1 to explain how he knows the outcome of the investigation into an Italian covid related contracts which exonerates Adaltis.There are a number of ongoing enquiries around contracts given to friends by Acuri as far as i can tell with far bigger contract sizes than the tiny Adaltis ones.If it is water under the bridge i would like to know.

As for the accusations and counter-accusations....Resistance/fse: perhaps you guys need to remind kooba that it is ratty (and himself to some extent) that is making the assertions of malfeasance (or at the very least engaging in the most cowardly type of innuendo and implying it). It is therefore ratty - and not you or anyone else here - that must provide 'proof' of those assertions. You guys - and many of the rest of us - are simply representing the default position, which is that absolutely nothing over these many months and years have ever been formally alleged, no financial reports have been delayed, impugned or re-stated, no executives have been accused of anything, let alone disciplined, etc. If there were absolutely anything awry with ANY of the Company's filings, including but certainly not limited to, it's Italian subsidiaries, from any of the recent years as has been clumsily implied by this rat - WE HAVE LONG SINCE HEARD FROM EVERYONE FROM THE COMPANY'S AUDITORS TO REGULATORS IN BOTH COUNTRIES. It is those who would challenge this default position - our null hypothesis if you will - who have the burden of proof, and no one else. Period.

Indeed, resistance.....Meantime, I think we may all end up owing the rat a bit of a thank you. I have been highlighting for weeks now the constant presence of a big buyer in the background of the market who has been frustratingly patient, bidding for size in the middle of the spread every day mostly through Singers, the broker. Of course we cannot know for certain, but it would appear that the rat's latest accusations have loosened up a few holders, causing them to sell some real size and helping therefore create one of the best volume days in the name for some time. But here's where it gets interesting: instead of having to sell into a hostile market however, the sellers mostly ended up hitting healthy bids at Singers, as the broker booked 1.3m shares, over half the day's volume. This brings their total over the past 2 1/2 weeks to almost 4m and has apparently - finally - completed their buyer as their mid-market bid for 2-300k, which has been there every day without fail for weeks, finally disappeared mid-day today. Yet despite all that, despite Singers no longer bidding for size in the market, despite their buyer having seemingly completed, despite the FTSE having a crummy overall day due in part to a continued, sharpish recovery in sterling, our share price closed near the highs. That tells me that despite that selling and Singers' buyer seeming to be finished, buying interest has increased in the market overall, and market makers are suddenly finding themselves short of stock as the buyer(s) over these past weeks have taken up much of the loose shares in the market. So, in conclusion: thanks ratty!

It seems resistance you have information not in the public domain..folks are now saying the accounts you had are not available due to some mysterious backlog , now you seem to know the outcome of a Italian Government enquiry in COVID contracts exonerating Adaltis from any wrong doing! You seem very close to the company and non public info if you don't mind me saying !
