hmmmmm, I'll have a look at the 'every Thurs thing', wizz. Meantime, the buyer is back in the market today at 30p for size just like he's been every day for some 2 weeks, making yesterday's nonsense especially egregious.

The manipulation of the closing price happens almost every Thursday and i think its to do with TASE Fridays closing, it happened to me a few times i bid for shares that were available but got nothing

Agreed this us very annoying it has occured to me over numerous stocks i have holdings in. In the case of BATM, patience is definitely key for the inevitable price rise over the coming months.

I’ve been trading BVC for a couple of years now and there is often some sort of funny business going on in the final auction. Today was the most egregious effort I’ve seen to manipulate the closing price lower, however. After having traded at or near 30p for the second consecutive day, some pond scum put 17k in the auction to sell at market, which would have meant a close of 28.5p. I bid for the entire 17k at 29p, which is why it closed there, but I got none, strong circumstantial evidence that the ‘seller’ was way more interested in closing the price as low as possible rather than trying to sell at the best possible price. I appreciate this is hardly the most important issue facing this company but when I think about the effort needed just to achieve our meagre recent gains, this kind of outrageous behaviour makes my blood boil. I will raise it with shore cap and company management though I’m sure I will get nowhere.

The macro economic landscape being bearish and a global recession looming makes BATMs deal even more important. As you said there will be a lot of bankruptcies on the horizon, making predictable cashflow ever more important. As Warren Buffett famously said, only when the tide goes out do you discover who's been swimming naked. BATM's new multi-year deal proves that they have what it takes to come out the other side of a recession thriving, with many more deals to come.

The markets are incredibly vulnerable and really only attractive on some special situations like this one as long as you are willing to tough it out. BATM are very well capitalized and in spite of the share price plummetting the game is very much afoot.
There will be a spate of bankruptcies and mergers and cost cutting on the horizon, and until the Russians GTF out of Ukraine its not going to be a pleasant ride.

Not to forget but BATM/Celare have a very active cyber business. The plan was to devolve some of the capabilities from systems supplying the defence department and offer this to corporate entities. My conjecture but I am pretty sure Celare is seeing robust demand.

Commiserate with resistance1 I made my largest latest buy mid 40p and that was quite a while ago so as you say underwater on that one and little/no dry powder. FFS

Added link. For those new to BATM a reminder they own Celare outright. Its the sector/division where they are currently seeing the highest growth.

I don't think there is any particular danger in being moderately above the 30p mark, especially in the light of recent news. Although it would be nice to average out, i don't think you'll be stuck in the mud for too long. Personally ive been buying small chunks around the 30p mark for a while now, it would have been nice to get in around the 26p mark about a month ago, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I wish I could buy a ‘load’ as you say. But I am heavily invested (and underwater) and no funds to average down. Think it won’t be long to see a better market valuation however.

Resistance1 - i wouldn't get comfortable with a 30p marker, i'm looking forward to much higher prices within the near future. Definitely buying a load more soon before its too late.

We may well not see a "specific" contract with Vodafone dependent at what stage end clients are enabled. More likely we will see them offer Edgility solutions at some point. Its a matter of how this is bundled and there are a lot of different entry points from large individual clients like Cemex that require infrastructure tweaks to small client end users who may be offered these services in a plan with providers or acquired separately by purchasing enabled white boxes on a fibre network that can support it.

Paulsi. From an international perspective perhaps. The UK City Fibre contract is just the ‘starter for 10’ and many more of these contract blocks will appear down the line. Remember CityFibre will have 1.2million businesses hooked up by end ‘24.

We are all waiting for the Vodafone contact, if it appears.Zvi said it would be a game changer i.e significantly bigger than City Fibre.

The interview with CityFibre is well worth watching.

A few time frame observations:
Telco systems have been working with ARM and Vodafone for quite some time. The importance to both parties ARM and Vodafone is that Telco systems offers platforms that are interoperable with ARM and Intel systems. ARM has been going after Intel dominance but providers like Vodafone cant just ignore the fact that clients have already purchased and installed Intel systems.

The other sequence of events that had to take place was to ensure that there are physical white boxes enabled for these end clients.
As a result Telco entered into strategic partnerships with the likes of Advantech and Nexcom plus several others.

So its been a matter of checking the boxes, a lot of them, before we get to this stage where end users will be connected.

Have posted a link to an article on ARM's website which gives a bit of background.

Kooba: interesting the way they are financed. Clearly this has driven the speed of Edgility pilot to real deal timing. BT would take 3 times as long.

FSE, you are very right. BATM is providing software for the future. Companies continue to shift from hardware-based solutions to software-based solutions. It's a non-negotiable for companies that want to stay ahead of the competition. Not only is BATM's software more efficient than the hardware alternative but they also reduce the company's environmental impact.

As anticipated, some fantastic news from BATM over the past 24 hrs, I could not be more bullish at this moment in time. The contract with CityFibre (the UK’s largest independent carrier-neutral Full Fibre platform) worth $3.5m, will most definitely aid BATM's goal in rapid expansion. The group CTO of CityFibre, David Tomalin, says that "BATM is a trusted customer edge compute partner that combines a strong innovation culture with a proven track record of virtualised edge device management at scale". Very exciting news and i will be watching this space very closely.

I can see Vodafone was involved with Arm on the proof of concept but what is meant to be going on with them past that event?"BATM said the solution enables network operators to benefit from a high-performing network with lower energy consumption, operating costs and emissions, adding that Telco will continue to work with Arm and Vodafone as they prepare for the next step of the process."https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/925888/batm-completes-proof-of-concept-with-arm-and-vodafone-925888.htmlAug 2020

Some perspective...... the initial revenue from edgility is a start. The revenue is a cumulative builder as new clients are added.
This is also a new revenue stream.
Telco make money out of sales of enabled hardware, licensing. Likes of Nexcom, Advantech and several other large players to say nothing about ARM/neoverse.
There is also a cyber bundling option with the Edgility suite.

The tie in with Vodafone is already there. Telco have been in trails with Vodafone for some time. This will mean that if you are with Vodafone you will have the option to incorporate Edgility...... "as far as I can gather"

Does Vodafone use CityFibre?

Vodafone is set to become Britain's largest full fibre broadband provider following a deal signed with CityFibre. Vodafone will offer full fibre to more homes than any other provider thanks to investing in partnerships with both Openreach and CityFibre
