There is more market manipulation on low volume.Price is hanging around the 50p mark.Only 1 buyback of 200k since approvalWaiting for the Vodafone RNS deal which will be substantial when it happens...

I've said it before and will continue to say it until it happens. The CEO and senior managers needs to be replaced. They can't even organise a simple buyback. Lombard Odier must be getting very frustrated with the level of incompetence in this management team

At the risk of being showered by protest, I still think it is the hangover from the 'discredited' (?) rat fiasco. It is wishful thinking to just hope the matter will just go away of its own accord. The report was clever for its own purpose of sewing panic amongst weak holders and was fashioned in quite a modest, self- deprecating way by its author......All the bold assertions were qualified by phrases along the lines of 'Is it not reasonable to suggest.......'', and 'it seems a bit odd that.........'' etc, etc, - which almost had the effect of endearing the writer to his audience and establishing trust in what he had to say. The upshot is - that despite the buyback etc, i just don't think the matters raised have been addressed and explained adequately by the management, instead of just being dismissed out of hand, and i am afraid tis might be viewed as arrogant by many. If they want to be considered a leading, trailblazing outfit, then they need to get a little more serious about investor relations. That said, i remain impressed by their offerings and continue to hold with high hopes for the future.

No buyback yesterday and nothing obvious so far today, but still ticking up on low volume.

If I was management I would keep my powder dry and use them as collateral in the likely event that they will purchase another company in the future. I must re-read the details in BATM's share-buy back programme - I am sure it will be explained there!

0wenski my understanding of buybacks is that go into treasury and out of circulation therefore the eps increases. If they are cancelled then they cannot be re-issued. But if they aren't cancelled they can be issued to reward directors etc. At which point they are back in circulation and will reduce the eps. It looks as if BATM is keeping them in treasury hut not cancelling

Well, it wont affect the EPS figures then which is one good reason why companies do this.

They are effectively operating as an institution buying their own shares though.

Maybe they'll be giving them out to BoD at some point as freebees.

If they've got that much cash sloshing around then they could've sweetened the divi for the actual owners of the company - the shareholders.

Not necessarily, I was disappointed to see that they weren't cancelling them. they could be held there for some time, I'm not sure if they can use them towards company share-save schemes or company incentives as such??

"The repurchased Ordinary Shares will be held in treasury" Am I right in presuming that they will be cancelled at a later date?

Well it's nice to see that the buyback has started, potentially @200k blocks this could be done in 220 days/trades. Like the way they just purchased a block in 1 trade and not tried to average out over the session, if this pattern continues they should be easier to spot!!

What are you talking about? Since the rat "report' was taken down BATM published a solid profitable results.
That put the lies of the "report" to rest once and or all, as for the concern of investors in the management I for one have no concern at all.
Looking at your past posts I think you are a shorter and you are wasting your time in this board...
