A bit more on Friday's extraordinary trading is needed I think. First off, there is likely some double-counting, but most of the big trades recorded seem genuine. And there was some very, very big trades, including one for over 12m shares. All were done at 51.4p, which unsurprisingly, is where we closed. What's interesting, aside from the obvious fact that this huge volume occurred the day BEFORE the index rebalance on Monday, is that both the 'supply' and the 'demand' for shares far exceeded expectations. The supply side would obviously suggest that there was more index money in this share than we thought. That's not too shocking though I was pretty certain that 10m left to sell was pretty conservative. Regardless, what's far more surprising, and bullish, was the imputed demand size for the shares. Unless there were other, smaller hedge funds short the stock into the rebalance who did not breach the -0.5% reporting limit and were thereby unknown, then there was clearly a LOT more buying on Friday than just from Enismore and Millennium, who together were short 'only' around 6m shares (and that assumes that those 2 funds managed to cover their entire outstanding short position). And for what its worth, as it was the first day of the potential buyback and they were clearly geared up to trade on Monday, I don't believe the Company was a material part of the buying balance, if they did any at all. That would mean some pretty significant institutional demand (of course that could well have included LO once again) on Friday. I would conclude by suggesting this backdrop sets us up VERY well for further gains next week (especially if I'm right that the Company was not present in the market yet on Friday and/or the 2 hedge funds for some reason did not manage to cover their entire shorts yet), but you can see the effects already in the Israeli trade as the shares there are currently hitting the day's high of ILS230, an equivalent of 53p, on decent volume.

"By bringing together BATM's software with NEXCOM's hardware, customers can benefit from simpler and streamlined deployment, management and orchestration of networked devices and applications, whilst being cost effective. Purchasers of the NEXCOM appliance will contract directly with BATM if they choose to use Edgility".

Nelly: scared out, certainly but not forced out. Small pi’s could only have been forced out if they were trading on margin and got margin-called. Which, IMHO, small pi’s should not be doing.

Expect good things from now on - with the short folk out and the long chappies in - it will find its way back to where it should be

unctuous - i still think that the short selling was the MAIN driver for the share-price demise, consequently some small pi's who had bought at lets say £1, got scared out on the way down to the 45p level.

I wouldn't have bought at 140, in my view that rise was on the back of a Covid spike, everything and anything that mentioned some Covid offering in their results blurb got the same boost.

But it's a decent enough business with good growth prospects underway and now on offer at 50p

Doesn't matter who or what is shorting, the question is, has BVC become a gift?
Personally, if I was going to short this I'd have done it at 140p and not at 50p

Downside at this level looks limited in my view with good upside potential.

If they weren't making real cash then they wouldn't be splashing out on 10% of the company - bargain for them at these levels IMO.

The markets are currently pricing good news as bad news and bad news as a disaster, that wont go on forever.

sad that these organisations didn't appear to get a bloody nose, when exiting. money for old rope, it appears, once it was known that a company will be forced to leave a particular index. surely batm advisers would have known that? batm paid a costly price when they didn't put in place the buy-back programme a lot earlier. great if you can take advantage of the half price sale now, however not quite the same for those small pi's that were frightened out (deleted forced out), when the share price dived from £1+ to 45pennies.

Been watching this for some time and thought it oversold. Back to 2019 levels. So taken a position on today's news. Could go back to about 77p without even breaking the 200ma bear channel, which started in 2020. I look forward to seeing some figures. Hope I haven't jumped back in too early.
Thanks for your coverage FSE - been doing an intensive scroll though!

There is a very great deal to digest with this announcement.
Nexcom themselves have only just released this particular product for sale.
It gives us an idea of time frames involved. It would indicate that Telco solutions are very much ahead of the game.
Heres the Nexcom announcement from June last year.
Companies like Nexcom have been in the process of adopting NFV heirachy now its becoming a standard.
The pandemic put a damper on deployments so expect some frantic catch up action.

>rob.... days of the photonic switch and selenium/silica storage transfer theorized by Alexander Graham Bell brought to life by Telco systems unfortunately too far ahead of its time for providers to get their head around. They still have that technology.

This was not unexpected Ariel Efrati mentioned this in an earlier interview. The main driver for this initiative is largely around the ability to accommodate Intel and ARM devices in the same client network. Intel had a monopoly and thats what most UCPE devices use "but" ARM is the newer kid on the block and is the preferred option. ARM made a partnership with Telco for just this reason.
They can sell ARM solutions to provider clients running Intel systems, so they can in effect get the best of both worlds and not have to retire existing systems.
The link WIZZ posted above is from pre pandemic days highlighting the Nexcom partnership, so its really great to see this come home to roost so to speak.
Edgility (formerly NFVTime) allows the "end use" client to use just the parts they want or need, its a scalable set of solutions, and not have to pay for what they do not require.
This gives the partnership and associates a much more efficient vehicle to market and use.

The move to Edge computing, SOCS, advanced UCPE white boxes for 5G and IOT.
Its all coming together.

Telco systems achieve revenue from licensing much the same way as if you decide to use Microsoft Office on your Mac.

Telco are working with other companies in this field and I expect we will see more announcements in the near future. Revenue wise this and other tie ups will come in as a trickle with a snowballing effect as Marom explained in a recent interview.
This revenue though is on top of what Telco are already selling and they are selling hardware enabled UCPE white boxes for SOHO.

Fun fact: under Israeli rules, a single holder can go to 45% of a company before being compelled to bid for the balance (30% here).
