So,have the politicians listened to anything the electorate told them?

I honestly can not remember electoral reform being a major issue for voters until now...and here we have the selfish wishes of a losing party, no...3rd place party dictating to the electorate how they would like to govern.

I'm very angry, and I mean it!

"The idea that the two parties that suffered most in this election, that were rejected by the electorate, that in the case of the Labour party lost a hundred of its seats, should put together an illegitimate government, this is the Robert Mugabe style of politics," says Conservative MP and former Foreign Secretary Sir Malcolm Rifkind. "It's exactly what Mugabe did you know, he lost the election and scrabbled to hold onto power.".

Ppound falling too. Below $1.48 again now helped by further uncertainty about who will run the UK. Looks like we seeing some extreme volitionality in the equity markets. Spain's ibex was up nearly 15% yesterday but still didn't recover last weeks losses. I can foresee a great crash coming. I'm not calling anything though for obvious reasons.

B3eper, actually its even worse news. If it is Lad&Lib they may also bring in the N'Ireland lost, and they just love to argue over politics. Then there's the Scots lot.
Shambles indeed if the Cons don't pull this off.
200 point plunge if it happens and we'll be back in the dark ages!

If we excludr the results from Scotland and Wales from this general election, the result is a Conservative Majority parliament for England.

Giiven that Wales and Scotland now have their own parliament, is it not time people from these countries had votes excluded from a general election? Were it not for people in Wales and Scotland propping up the Labour seats, we wouldn't be facing a period of uncertainty at all - we'd have a strong Conservative government.

why is our parliament full of Welsh and Scottish MP's if they have a parliament of their own?

gbh2,

Yes and loads of them were Labour tactical votes to stop the Conservatives getting the last 20 seats.
