Remainers' Project Fear is back on the attack - COMMENT

DURING the lead up to the Brexit referendum ‘Project Fear' was at the heart of the Remain campaign.

But famously, none of these fearful predictions came to pass... except perhaps one. The then Chancellor had cheerfully declared that the vote would result in 600,000 unemployed, but in fact the number of people in work went up by half a million. The economy did not crash and growth outperformed other EU nations. Inward investment continued apace. There were no shortages of food or medicines, nor was there the increased likelihood of a world war.

All of it was nonsense.

The one thing that did take place though was a drop in value of the pound.

But this was good; a competitive currency helps exports, reduces the balance of payments deficit, and makes manufacturing profitable.

It also inflated the value of the stock market. What is not to like?

You would imagine that is all history now. But the Remainers are back with a recycled avalanche of Project Fear stories – this time specifically relating to a “no deal Brexit”.

How tiresome and boring.

The international auto industry trade bodies, which are populated by firms headquartered in Paris, Berlin and Frankfurt, are again saying that a no deal would be a disaster for the UK car industry.

In reality this is a good example of an industry where there appears to be no downside for the country.

If there is a no deal and tariffs are applied, the proceeds of those UK tariffs will add to the UK Treasury instead of going to Brussels.

The higher cost of imported EU cars will cause British consumers, at the margins at least, to buy better value British manufactured cars.

The tariffs the EU apply have already been eliminated by the adjustment of sterling to a competitive rate.

Curtis Bowers on Election: We Need to Fight for What Is Right

Curtis Bowers, an award-winning filmmaker and a former State Representative in the Idaho Legislature, told NTDTV “Focus Talk” host Jenny Chang in the interview that he believes there was massive fraud in the election and “we need to stand for the truth and fight for what is right.”

“I feel like the truth really might come out even though it looks like the game is over.” Bowers expressed optimism about President Donald Trump’s reelection in the interview.

“All the dark deeds that were done will be brought to light and people will see the corruption and Trump will be giving the inaugural address January 20.”

Bowers believes the election was fraudulent and manipulated.

“I knew that [Trump] would win in a landslide. Trump would win if it was fair.” Bowers claimed in the interview.

Bowers said that he traveled the country for a living, he was in 20 different states before the election, and he has “never seen more excitement and energy for a candidate in my entire life than there was for President Trump.”

Bowers explained that there’s a mathematical Benford’s law showing things move consistently, not jump up or jump down in data collecting. However, he said at a certain time Joe Biden’s vote went straight up and Trump’s vote went straight down, which was too sporadic.

“It only is sporadic when it’s being manipulated by someone,” said Bowers.

Frost says Brexit deal OFF unless EU returns 'borders, waters and laws' to UK-last warning

BORIS Johnson's chief Brexit negotiator has warned Brussels he is serious that Britain's sovereignty must be respected if a trade deal is to be agreed.

Lord Frost insisted there was no hope of a post-Brexit trade deal unless the

European Union hands back control of our borders, laws and coastal waters to the

Government. His warning comes as his opposite number Michel Barnier is set to

travel to London for face-to-face talks this evening. Lord Frost said: “I look

forward to welcoming Michel Barnier and his team to London to resuming face-to-

face talks tomorrow. We are glad all are safe and well.

“Some people are asking me why we are still talking. My answer is that it’s my job to do my utmost to see if conditions for a deal exist. It is late, but a deal is still possible, and I will continue to talk until it’s clear that it isn’t.

“But for a deal to be possible it must fully respect UK sovereignty. That is not just a word – it has practical consequences. That includes: controlling our borders; deciding ourselves on a robust and principled subsidy control system; and controlling our fishing waters.

“We look to reach an agreement on this basis, allowing the new beginning to our relationship with the EU which, for our part, we have always wanted.

If he didn't have the status of being so well off as a millionaire/billionaire would he have the same attitude towards others?...I don't think he is a Republican or a Democrat...he just used the Republican platform and got lucky to further his cause and the elite Republican Politicians got caught off guard...now they have to deal with the Trump baggage..
