Thanks for the info Smurfy.

Frankly, I no longer give credence to anything Mcfarlane says, particularly when he refers to improving things for shareholders.

As for Jes, well promising to deliver something to shareholders at an unspecified time in the future, is of course nonsense.

This is managing shareholder expectations at it's worst.
I'll promise you I'll give you what you want and what you've been waiting for , just not sure when LOL

Meanwhile, let me continue to do what I am doing, Oh and I'll continue to reward ourselves while you wait.

McFarlane said the bank must avoid making any more major “mistakes or missteps”. “We’re doing everything necessary to get the growth and returns to get the higher share price you’re looking for,” he told shareholders. |I genuinely believe the best is yet to come.”

Staley said shareholders would be rewarded for the bank’s progress with plans for the first programme of share buybacks in 20 years. He would not be drawn on timing. Staley also repeated a pledge to pay a dividend of 6.5p a share for 2018, after the dividend was left unchanged at 3p in 2017.

No news yet about Bramson but I doubt he will be satisfied to see this level of share performance.
Let's see what he does to shake the tree.

3% - 4% appears to be the norm for divi payments by most of the larger companies.
I guess they consider it enough to placate shareholders ?

I agree with you about shareholder returns though, abysmal.
