Going to be a very interesting meeting between stayley and bramsom. Stayley can bang on about improvement but the share price tells a different story. If this continues I expect bramsom to increase his stake and force a seat on the board.

Unfortunately, directors will be rewarded whatever happens.
bad performance, does not necessarily mean a substantial drop in their salary or share awards.

In addition, if Bramson is successful the directors will be rewarded from their own shareholding.

seems a win win for them.

Other large shareholders are going to start to be more receptive to bramsom soon. The share price is a disgrace but is reflective of inept management.

Agreed, either the share price will improve or Bramson will have his day.

The lower the price goes the more bramsom will accumulate, this will be broken up eventually.

it stinks of bad management 10 year knowing the fine was coming and gave all the profits out in bonuses to them selves ,
the culture at barcs as not changed our are customers being treated if the management stick two fingers upto their own culture agreement ,

Ahh Thanks Portside.
I don't disagree to be honest. Why he has to stay until next year I do not know. Surely they would have identified a successor in waiting ?

Also, I do not understand why they have made a 400m provision in this quarter .
Had they made the provision in one of the next quarters, it would have provided for better reporting figures which would help the share price

odd that they have made the provision now isn't it ?

Barclays states it will root out employees with no morals or honesty

SO WHY HAS THIS MAN NOT BEEN REMOVED , THEY STATEMENT ON ETHICS IS A SHAMBLES
HE SHOULD BE SACKED NOT ALLOWED TO RESIGN
if he can lie to holders the owners does that give all the employees the right to lie to customers

Turns out my read was correct (and saturated in truth) as BARC pukes all the intra day gains and finishes decently red.

Not quite sure why BARC IB should benefit more than other IB's such as goldman ?
Indeed, until it demonstrates it has benefited, I won't be holding my breath.

At this rate I am afraid the share price will only add fuel to Bramson's position and argument, regardless of the media trying to provide support to Staley.
I suspect that Barclays PR department are working overtime with their newspaper contacts at the moment.
Free champagne anyone !!!
