my target for next march still over 300p

portside1: you did forecast +300p (may have been 340p) this summer, last year.

It is laughable to suggest you don't get excitable with BARC portside1. You've been forecasting a 50% rise for this most treacherous of murderous dogs year after year, 50%. Taken against a index average of 5%, you've been forecasting BARC (as a FTSE100 stock) to outperform the index by 1000%.

That is excitable AIM oiler numbers, no? You exclaim, and you do so in triplicate, that this community should "buy, buy, buy" (your words) then as the sucker rally fades (after an hour or so) the only thing remaining is immediate losses for anyone that did follow you.

...and you do it year. After year. After year.

Ahhh see what you mean.
I agree with your comments about scrips, although I have to say I have stopped subscribing to them now.
My past experience, has always been that the scrip price is higher than the share price ex divi and I could always have bought them in the market, cheaper than the scrip price.
Never saw the point in them to be honest.

I don't agree with share awards to directors portside.
They should be required to purchase X amount of shares in the market, with the salary they get paid, as a condition of having the job.
That way if the share goes down, they feel the pain just like regular shareholders.

Offering discounted, tax free shares to directors as some kind of incentive to perform is ridiculous.
I have no idea who first came up with the concept but it is a failed idea.

Jes Staley, chief executive at Barclays, has appointed Paul Compton of JP Morgan, to join the British bank as its chief operating officer. The announcement, which came on 9 February, is the latest in a series of new employees being poached from the American bank.
Staley, who has previously worked with Compton at the Wall Street bank, said, "For nearly twenty years Mr Compton has served in a variety of senior operating roles. His huge directly relevant experience will prove invaluable as we continue our strategic transformation and manage the required changes under structural reform."
did not take him long to sell up
