Stellar Q3 results over at TBCG, should be largely mirrored by BGEO next week.

The drivers of growth in q2 are still playing out, so i would expect q3 to be quite positive.

Perhaps a share split will be done at some point.

US banks reporting earnings this week, may move the sector globally. It's now kissing the SMA50 so will see if it provides some support.

I am in at 1237 from April this year and in my isa to boot. Bought Georgia capital at the same time only up 8% on them but considering the market that's not bad. I also "trembled!" up on Georgia capital in my isa a few weeks back. 60% discount maybe more with the increasing share price of bank of Georgia.

flyfisher ,
such a good looking chart and tells the story and maybe no need to worry about medium term prospects. I think that NTA is irrelevant with a bank but could be wrong

Yes, all very good indeed. I wish they would communicate the salient points of their results more clearly though. It takes a lot of digging around to determine whether the dividend has gone up or down..not very investor friendly!

This morning's BGEO CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER'S STATEMENT extract:.".....The numbers speak for themselves, but I'll highlight a few points. In the second quarter, the Group's operating income before cost of risk grew 60.0% y-o-y and 29.8% q-o-q to GEL 334.2 million, and profit amounted to GEL 275.5 million, up 36.3% y-o-y and up 14.5% q-o-q. We delivered a combination of strong customer lending growth, a higher ROAE of 32.8%, and a lower cost/income ratio of 32.5%. The Group's performance was supported by the resilience of the Georgian economy. The higher-than-expected economic growth underpinned by Georgia's position as an important transport, trading, and logistics corridor in the region......Considering the Group's strong performance during the first half of 2022, the Board has decided to declare an interim dividend of GEL 1.85 per ordinary share in respect of the period ended 30 June 2022, payable to ordinary shareholders of Bank of Georgia Group PLC on 20 October 2022. In addition, after the completion of the current GEL 72.7 million share buyback and cancellation programme, the Board will extend the programme by a further GEL 40 million.....".The H1 dividend is increased by 25% (expressed in Lari) and the share buy-back programme expanded by 55%..Impressive stuff!! tightfist

Stellar q2 results, with an increased dividend, up 60%. At this stage EPS well ahead of broker forecasts of 462p for the year. NAV is around 2100p.

Should lead to some broker upgrades.

That is the risk here, without it the stock would likely be trading at a premium to nav.

Note also that the bond debt is in $, so local currency strength reduces the debt in lari terms.
