18/3/2014 10:30 | Tech Market View - 18/3/14: Big Bang more than a Theory at Bango The day after scientists found indications of what happened moments after the Big Bang, the management of Bango, the mobile payments and analytics company, have shown us what to expect as this exciting business develops. For the full year, end user revenue increased by 150% to £15.6m but pre-tax losses increased to £4.9m as resources were put in place for the anticipated growth. With cash of £5.1m, the management state that the company should not require additional funding. Bango has established a strong claim to be the world's leading provider of billing services through mobile operators (MNOs), with 120 integrated onto their platform. See Fireworks at Bango for more info. The company is now focusing on enabling many of these operators to offer their subscribers access to AppStores, principally Google Play, but also Firefox Marketplace and Windows Phone Store, with significant potential from Amazon. With AppStores, Bango will usually take an agency fee on end user revenue at the lower end of the 2-5% target range. However, Bango can generate higher fees by acting as a principal (as with many MNOs), handling FX transactions and by providing additional support to MNOs as they adopt AppStores. Bango's ID capability also adds value by enabling an MNO to identify a caller's device when using Wi-Fi. Bango has thus built a wide portfolio of contacts and capabilities to address the market for MNO billing for digital content, estimated at $13bn in 2017 (Juniper Research). The priority is now to accelerate the adoption of AppStores, working through their current pipeline of 40 integrations (at year-end 2013, they had 12 live integrations). As much of the cost base is in place, the consequent rise in end user spend should generate a significant improvement in profitability. Bango looks set for an explosive year! | simon gordon

13/1/2014 20:42 | £2 next stop? Lots of shares popping today. Bango has a much healthier cut of the money they process than some companies. If the biz model catches on then could be fun ahead. Quite a few jobs on the bango career site now. The extra funding and hopefully revs must be allowing them to grow | ade45

13/1/2014 14:31 | So far a jam tomorrow story, once a fan of this co., but really need to see significant ramp up in revenue before venturing in again, nice rise last week or so but it's a stock that seems to show considerable moves up and down, maybe on the basis recently of their being really clear signs that general population becoming increasingly mobile in their purchasing patterns! | bookbroker
