Quiet boards this. Cnbc headline news the other day was apple offering dcb in Russia. They are using boku which is annoying but it's good that they are warming to dcb. It's likely they will use bango at some point for certain territories. Everything in place now for stock to capitalise on its position. 2016 should be huge.

Once the placing is out of the way tomorrow I expect the news blackout will be over and we will have a ramp up of RNS on new activations and agreements before Xmas which should boost the SP

It will be interesting to see the II holdings after the placing as I suspect it will be the usual culprits with increased holdings and therefore its clear the placing was one for boys as a thanks for the support over the years and now lets crack on and make some cash. I doubt we will have many new II's if any.

If so this would reduce the number of shares available on the market to approx 20% and therefore any good news can and will put a bomb under the share price as we witnessed on 28th October.

Strange how the share price fell back before the announcement and then back up afterwards. It's a bigger placing than I thought would be needed but I suppose they need to keep a healthy balance sheet and not too much of a dilution. The 2% margin now projected going forward is encouraging.

I suppose the placing @ 90p explains the lack of news over the last weeks and the statement stating they can not comment on the Apple carrier billing news.Obviously they were already in discussions with their II's as to the price of the placing and would not want a big uplift in the share share price until complete.

I expect a step up on the news front once the placing is complete and the share price to follow.

Its now 2 months since any new activations. Considering BANGO announced on 15th September a strong pipeline of further activations for this year I thought we would have had some news by now. Maybe were in for some fireworks in the next days.

However, BANGO did win East of England apprentice of the year so things are looking up.

200m end user revenue probably which gives say 4m of revenue to Bango. It could be double or treble or more than that though.

With Bango currently having 40% of the carrier billing market maybe Boku should try to raise the funds to merge with Bango. The margins are so low that it would be very difficult for new providers to compete. Either way, although the share price has once again slipped back, Bango should have a very bright future.I think revenue is predicted to be around the £200m mark by the end of 2017.With the company currently valued at around £50m you certainly can't say its got a .com rating.

The share price would be £30 if they were powering Apple. But Apple will popularise carrier billing

Tech crunch also reported, citing sources familiar with the company’s plan that Apple has been reportedly in talks with other carrier providers such as Bango in order to enable users to charge their iTunes purchases to the carrier bill. Nonetheless, Apple’s deal with O2 points out towards the company’s efforts to increase its appeal among a wider set of audience.

It should also be noted that Telefonica has already been working on Android and other devices for the carrier billing service.

Also, its more than likely that Apple will expand this billing option to various carriers and different markets. There are chances that the company is testing the service in German market. Amazon did the same when it launched a similar feature with German carrier Bango. Chances are that service will be rolled out to users well beyond Germany.

Apple Rolls Out Carrier Billing For iTunes, Starting In Germany With O2

At long last, Apple is adding a way for people to pay for purchases on iTunes beyond credit or debit cards — a move that points to the company sharpening its focus on marketing the iPhone to a wider set of users. Apple — working first with O2/Telefonica in Germany — will now let people pay for items using carrier billing in iTunes.

This means users can now pay for apps and other iTunes purchases by linking up their phone numbers to charge the items to their mobile bills, bypassing the need for a credit or debit card, or potentially even a bank account.

If you are an O2 user in Germany, you can now enter your phone number instead of a card number into your iTunes’ account information. Subsequent purchases from Apple Music, iTunes, the App Store and iBooks are then charged directly to your phone bill, or debited from a prepaid amount that a you have added to the phone if you are not on a contract.

We have contacted Apple directly for a statement, but in the meantime O2, owned by Telefonica, has confirmed that the feature has started to get quietly rolled out across Germany and will be available to all users by next month.

“Telefónica Germany is working with Apple related to carrier billing,” a spokesperson told us in an email. “Payment via the O2 phone bill is now available for Apple Music, iTunes, App Store and iBooks Store Purchases. The service is gradually being rolled out and will be available for all O2 customers (prepaid and postpaid) in Germany by the beginning of November 2015.”

I think the answer is that between Apple and Google they have 90%( USD 900m )of the app store revenue you mention from DCB with Apple having the majority approx 80%(USD 720m) I don't think Microsoft / Samsung / Amazon have a large slice of the market are significantly contributing to the BANGO EUS at this time but watch this space especially with Amazon as this is the growth area in addition to expanding the apple & google reach.

Blackberry has been on the decline and I'm not sure if the decline can be turned around but there are certainly positive signs. Again this would be a growth area.

As of today BANGO does not have any official agreement with Apple (LOL) so this leaves only google and blackberry as significantly contributing to BANGO EUS.

Therefore from the google app stores activated for DCB (approx 100 plus) Bango at this time has approx 15% which are the main contributors to EUS.

This is why any deal with Apple would be massive for BANGO

Good day so far

If things go really well with carrier billing and with Apple's ambitions of cornering the payment market with recent launch of Applepay Bango would be a nice fit to extend Applepay reach.Apple buyout Bango might happen

Strong Statement. Other app stores providers, including Google, Amazon, Blackberry and Microsoft, have found carrier billing to be a successful payment method and have gradually expanded its availability to more customers. We believe that Apple will see positive results through carrier billing and follow a similar path.

Seems odd that end user spend is relatively low for Bango compared to market share of 40%. End user spend for whole market is over 1 billion usd expected to grow to 12 billion by 2019 for carrier billing. Bango at less than 100 million which is less than 10%. Anyway if it grows to 40% of 20 billion and margin is 2% then heading towards 100 million GP so the potential could be enormous.
I wonder if the link up with Amazon could extend to other items than Apps.
Exciting times if my understanding is correct, do your own research though as I might be way off track.
