Very interesting - and potentially lucrative - announcement to industry by Bango:

Tomorrow 2 years ago on 24th June 2022 the Bango share price closed @ £1.44, in the following HI trading update Bango announced revenue of US$ 10.8m with ARR @ US$ 3.4m, there after the share price increased to around the £2.00 range until the 2022 full year TU in January in which they announced revenue of US$ 32.9m with ARR @ US$ 5m, the share price then went on a rollercoaster ride up to share price £2.60 before dropping back and trading in the share price £1.80 - 2.20 range.

I expect 2024 H1 revenue around US$ 21.5m to upper end £23m and ARR as we know has increased to around US$ 11m as of March this year so maybe a slight increase on this if any new DVM deals have been inked

The above would suggest providing the BoD have got their house in order regarding financial controls and cash burn there is still some legs in the re-rating of the share price over the coming weeks & months

Let's not forget the directors were buying decent chunks in April.Hopefully a sign that things are back on track. Fingers crossed the next trading update shows an in-line or beat. Market is starting to like high growth stocks again.

Yes very disappointing we have not yet had any RNS on new deals, Larbey did say he would update the market on deals as the year progresses so assume no further deals to date since the full results were announced 8th April, still another 6 months to go

Shutters come down on H1 in 12 days time so they will already have a good understanding of where they stand as I'm sure the reporting procedures have been updated to micro manage revenue and spend so there is no need for last minute embarrassing disclosures as we had in January.

Disappointing that there is still a lack of any news from Bango. Would have been nice to get an early trading update with the AGM or a RNS regarding new clients. Looks like it's all being held back for the H1 Trading update in late July.

Not entirely since those costs relating to the closure and transfer of the remaining part of the Docomo acquisition fall into this year.
I think we will have to wait until 2025 before everything is stable on the cost front.
Much will depend on how much the Digital vending machine annualised turnover has grown in the last 6 months to drive the share price.

If they follow the rules Bango will need to update their major share holders web page in the next 2 weeks so we should find out for sure if there has been any significant change, no TR 1 notifications issued so you would think not but there has been a significant volume of stock traded since the last update on 29th December so maybe some are not playing by the rules

So if the shortfall was in fact related to unforeseen one off items that only became known at year end (albeit the BoD expect at least US$ 1m will roll over into 2024) we should expect to be back on track according to the end 2022 forecast at the forthcoming TU and end year results, obviously the analyst are not convinced that the shortfall was related to one off items and that the forecast revenue will be reduced

Let’s see if the Bango BoD prove the analyst wrong and if so a significant re rate of the share price should take place

I completely disagree Lentjes, as was later clarified the shortfall came as a surprise to both the Directors aswell as the shareholders. Not much point in going over it all again after all was explained months ago.

Obviously the founders knew full well the projected profits were fanciful when they set them at the end of 2022, once the seeds had been sown (the sting)and the market reacted in Feb 2023 they clearly took the money knowing by the end of the year the cat would be out of the bag,

Seriously? This has been covered before. How could they possibly know in February they would miss the numbers 10 months later due primarily to a cost that hadn't yet been found and the timing of booking a deal that only closed in late-Dec, that shifted slightly into the following year?

Didn't Anil have to sell off, due to divorce settlement? There was a RNS on it.

Yes the explanation of the shortfall in January was poorly communicated hence the collapse in share price.
