Martyn, I hope so. It's a big signal. Minnis will say we need to fill this sovereign wealth fund with cash. Imagine having a wealth fund and no money to put in it. That would be highlighting The Bahamas dire economic position. They are so much in debt. So they must see cash on the horizon and lots of it. He's already talking about using money for infrastructure spending. Lol They can't even get a loan at the moment.

Egg - I agree....the government want to get the case out of the way quickly and well before any early election they call. Regardless P1 shouldn't be impacted now so they either find (the right type of) oil or they don't!

Robo - my opinion is;The drill will be done before the JR is heard.The JR may mean some tweaks to future EIAs where if there is a future drill it will be applied for and adhered to in the same way it was for P1.So the gov now appear to be doing the right thing - in the eyes of future voters.... as it appears for all the environmentalists bluster they can't raise over $50 toward the $2500 required... still old Smithy is doing alright out of it...So it's as they say it's been withdrawn to save time and money...Fred lost.... IMO...

Bahamas Petroleum Company shares (LSE:BPC) have been weak and they remain weak. Hopes of bullish momentums have been dashed, and it seems things may go further downwards from here.
The current phase of bearish movement started around the middle of November 2020, and it holds. Price is below the EMA 21, and the Williams’ % Range period 21 is in a much oversold territory. The weakness in the market has be so strong to the extent that, it does not make sense to assume any long positions right now.


BPC would continue going further southwards, towards the support levels at 2.00, 1.50 and 1.00 in the year 2021. Any rallies attempts in the market will be clear signs of opportunities to go short when prices become a bit expensive, and in the context of a downtrend.
