My guess is MMs are being fed big chunks of shares periodically,hence the share price is stuck at 2.05p offer. This is quite typical of a share that keeps issuing shares like confetti. The upside is limited or impossible to get while this overhang of shares is around imo.

Having said that having thought about it and the fact there is never any smoke without fire - isn't there others present on the IM overseeing the drill - I suspect they have signed an NDA of sorts but could that be a route of any advance moves by the government to set up such a fund? It could also be true that the Government are using the news of this fund as spin - after all just because it's set up ready does not mean it will be used... and can blame legitimately geology if the find does not go to plan?

The wording of the Wealth fund announcement was quite open and could be construed many ways though. Big emphasis on "land and precious natural assets for the benefit of the Bahamian people" and "funded from local and international sources"

The fact that the infrastructure project requires $2B makes me wonder where the hell they will fund this from. Tourism is on it's knees, so why the timing of the announcement unless its paving the way for a potential injection from other sources (oil maybe ?)

Assuming oil is found and its commercially viable I think the courts will appear to do the right thing, allow a JR with recommendations/changes off the back of it, followed by tighter regulations going forward. This possibly followed by a PR drive by the government to get the Bahamian people on side
