17/4/2009 10:10 | Bloody marvellous, put my bid in a 7.5p, executed at 10p, fell to 8.5p. Bloody Jonah! | edgark
17/4/2009 10:10 | Market Cap under £3m surely. | the_beagle
17/4/2009 10:09 | Bit of a tree shake - they haven't got much out of it though | boffster
17/4/2009 10:03 | It seems ridiculous but the truth is it is still only valued at £5m when Tanfield is £50m. If Government is serious about making EV into serious industry in this country this has opportunity to become hundred bagger ! | robson1974
17/4/2009 10:01 | There is (confusingly) a US battery development company called Axion (axionpower.com). No connection (though journalists do mis-spell the two occasionally). Market cap around £38m, so considerably bigger than Axeon. They recieved a big cash grant from the US govt a few months ago. Something similar at Axeon would not go amiss at a time when so many prospects are opening up. | m.t.glass
17/4/2009 10:00 | Not in my humble opinion, they can't claim "they know of no reason" for it, cos everybody knows why its rising. | spekky
17/4/2009 09:58 | Is this rise enough to justify an RNS? | the_beagle
17/4/2009 09:54 | 9.75/10.00 wow!! | ghaon
17/4/2009 09:08 | 7.75/8.50 :-) | ghaon
17/4/2009 09:05 | I suspect the market is expecting given Government support for EV industry that AXE will not be allowed to go to the wall and the Government will follow through on their promise of keeping the UK at forefront of the EV industry worldwide. Axeon and Modec and Allied and Smith are all part of that. | robson1974
17/4/2009 09:02 | the strength of the share price over the last few trading sessions would seem to suggest positive news to come.....likely that the banking covenants have been sorted for the foreseeable future. Also, the EV mania might be generating some more interest in AXE as would any general recovery in its other markets. | ghaon
17/4/2009 08:41 | If you look at the Bloomberg stats it is on a P/S of 0.06 and P/BV of 0.15 Clearing the debt issues overhanging the stock could see this moonshoot. | robson1974
17/4/2009 08:32 | Looks like the market has got its brain into gear. | spekky
17/4/2009 08:14 | beagle -- I am a fan of Axeon products but I agree with Robson on this point. TAN need to remain nimble and be prepared to move quickly towards whichever source best serves their needs -- and away from whichever is slipping out of contention. They have already used five battery suppliers. They may yet use Axeon. Their new US company has quickly identified Kokam rather than Valence as its supplier of choice statesside. Cementing a permanent connection with any one of them is not a wise approach, imo, at this stage in what is a very aggressive race. | m.t.glass
17/4/2009 08:13 | spread has moved to 5.75/6.50 and then 6.00/6.50 | robson1974
17/4/2009 07:35 | Funny trades today. All yesterday buys were just over 6p. Today started the same then buy? of 275,000 at 5.9p followed by small buy at 6.25. Was that the end of a sell order? | the_beagle
17/4/2009 07:17 | vertical integration of the supply chain of early stage tech market is not a good idea due to the high pace of innovation | robson1974
17/4/2009 07:13 | If TAN were to offer 1 for 1 share exchange they could rid AXE of it's banking covenants and have the total control of a leading battery supplier. Food for thought. | the_beagle
