20/4/2009 12:17 | What I can't understand is why the share price has been performing so well Friday and today only for this to be announced. Normally if something leaks out beforehand it has the opposite effect. | boffster
20/4/2009 12:14 | Boffster you are right the situation did not seem dire it was possible to trade through, but the lenders who also own 15% of the stock clearly see an opportunity to strike in a government supported EV world, unfortunately they have that right as lenders and they will make an absolute killing. Shareholders will at best get a few pennies in the pound i imagine (i have already mentally written my holding down to zero) . I look forward to investing anew in whatever entity emerges out of the other end. | robson1974
20/4/2009 12:10 | To me the company's fiscal position does not seem nearly dire enough. Surely some sort of d4e or rights issue could shore up the balance sheet. | boffster
20/4/2009 12:08 | judging from the previous release from Axeon management where they said 'the board confirms it continues to enjoy the support of its main lender' it looks like Axeon management have had the rug pulled from under them? why would that happen? To me with my cynical hat on to me it looks like they want to capture maximum value for themselves and they can do that through the administration process. This company, its IPR and the working capital have a lot of value in a Government supported Electric Vehicle world. I continue to feel shareholders may see some value, although not as much as possible if the lenders had let it trade through. | robson1974
20/4/2009 12:03 | not shocked........obvio | spekky
20/4/2009 12:01 | The principal lenders are Ironshield who also have 15% of the stock. They may be betting that they can get greater value out of this by taking the whole company into administration and dissecting the good bits?. I would hope there will still be some value for shareholders as the sum of the parts still looks to have value i.e. from unwinding the working capital position. | robson1974
20/4/2009 11:57 | Unbelieveable! I'm shocked | boffster
20/4/2009 11:57 | Hopefully so.... | edgark
20/4/2009 11:52 | Appointment of administrators. Very bad news. Hopefully the administrators can salvage something for shareholders. | robson1974
20/4/2009 11:25 | 11.5/12 and still moving | robson1974
20/4/2009 11:10 | Taking off again. | robson1974
20/4/2009 10:59 | AXE is valued at £5m. TAN is currently valued at £45m. | robson1974
20/4/2009 10:40 | It has already been announced the Government will support sales of Electric Vehicles by giving up to £5k in incentives which will be very good news for AXE. The only other news we are waiting for is some resolution on debt covenant issues although it is conceivable the lenders will have read the papers and seen the first bit of news and be more constructive in their discussions with AXE so we could get a double whammy of good news directly and indirectly from the budget. | robson1974
20/4/2009 10:40 | AXE is a Scottish Co. and we all know that Brown and Darling tend to look after their own. | wywcu1
20/4/2009 10:36 | A nice little takeover target for someone, surely, in the present climate. Purest UK play on the electric vehicles flavour-of-the-month sector. Is that what's driving it? I can imagine it being snapped up very soon. Or has someone got wind of some Budget Day news favouring Axeon? Are we about to get one of those RNSs saying "We note the movement in the share price and can confirm we are in negotiations which might or might not... etc, etc.." | rockraven
20/4/2009 10:33 | Goodness if it can put on over 100% on no news who knows what it will do on actual news | robson1974
20/4/2009 10:29 | Wow...50k @11.75. Well over offer. Roll out the news! | the_beagle
