Happy new year to all AVM holders.
Does anyone know of a co that offers trading in AIM shares via cfd's or spreadbetting?
I would like to increase my holding but just don't have any money left....I see this as a one way bet this year.
Thanks.

A nice cat might liven it up a bit.

Or maybe even a picture of Ashley James.

Anyone for a sing song?

bionic,

I can't alter the thread title. It's set in stone. Of course, I can set up another thread with a new title if people so wish...

While I'm on the subject, is there anything people would like changed in the header? I'm open to suggestions as long as it doesn't make the thread header overly lengthy and a nuisance.

Happy New Year to all.
DD

Would also be nice to see costs at Zervasham come down - as anticipated by management.

Idenburg is important and will hopefully surprise to the upside. And remember that Taror/Chore feasibility will give AVM 16 years of 130,000 oz annual production which is at 90% recovery a jorc reserve base of 2.3 mio oz. That will bring AVM's jorc reserves to 3.5 mio oz.

Have AVM stopped giving quarterly production reports?

I am very interested to see an update from idenberg when complete - this could add significant value to the company (not to mention the other areas)!

Not "well positioned", AVM is the single best mining stock at these prices. Over a 5 year time frame no one offers better value except some explorers and that is a game too risky for me.

Back in 2003 I wondered why stocks like GSS were valued at insanely high price levels.. here you have it, -74%. Yet, GSS has fully diluted 168 mio shares before the latest offer and before the takeover of St. Jude. After St. Jude it's 206 mio and after the offer 237.6 mio shares. At the time I looked at GSS a few days ago the share price was US$2.5, so a US$600 market cap for 4 mio oz in reserves and ca. 200,000 oz in current production and 500,000 oz production in the near future (2 years). That's US$150/oz of reserves and US$1200/oz of production.

Hey, GSS managed to loose 74% and AVM is still way cheaper at US$920/oz of current production and US$577/oz of "near future" (4 years) production including Taror/Chore.

Lower cash costs, too.

GSS -74%, AVM +70% and still cheaper 50%. Buying AVM now is like paying US$1.20 for GSS which traded at 8.50 two years ago.

A great read to help get us underway in 2006 (including some very impressive chart analysis):

The following is an important section:

QUOTE:
Looking at the 5-year [Gold Mining] STOCKS versus GOLD chart we can clearly see that stocks have just broken out of a 2-year downtrend against gold. We therefore appear to be entering a period in which stocks are set to outperform gold, and given the positive outlook for gold, this means that stocks are set to perform very well indeed. This certainly fits with the charts of many gold and silver stocks - large, medium and small, which are looking very bullish.

What all this means is that if you are not already positioned to take advantage of the large gains pending in this sector, you should get on with it and decide what to buy and buy it. As already pointed out above, a short to medium-term reaction in the metals is unlikely to put much of a dent in the prices of stocks, so downside is viewed as relatively limited.
UNQUOTE

Needless to say, I am "well positioned" in AVM, like everyone else on this board!

Based on the average $2900/oz production Avocet is now worth 353p per share. I expect gold stocks to gain in excess of 50% this year bringing Avocet's worth per share up to 530p..

The North American mines have broken the Nov. 2004 top by 5%, Avocet still trades 5% below the Nov. 2004 top..
