06/7/2016 16:11 | An incredible bargain. Not quite as good as brexit Friday but should pay for my trip to LyonPanic sellers.... aaaaarrrggghhhhh! | nicksoj
06/7/2016 11:02 | Agree Dr. Biotech...just shows how negative the market can get with the recent hiccup on uncertainties over property values etc. However, customers need insurance and their pensions managed so life trudges on albeit at an uncertain pace. Like LGEN and a few others in the sector the management teams appear very strong and astute so I think that the market will start to regain some confidence over coming months. It would be probably helped if Mrs. May is given the keys to No.10 asap, and she will be seen as a much needed steady hand. Good luck here although a bit more invested in lgen for my sins at present. Finally have to say that the AV. company outline given this morning was quite reassuring in most respects but may take a little time to sink in...the analysts always trying to cover their backxxxx as usual, and therefore tend to over-react. | cyberian
06/7/2016 11:01 | I hold sl. And watch AV. Both of these are a solid long term hold, market is just scaring folks out for cheap stock. Both have great divis and will ride this out.Be lucky to all. | chesty1
06/7/2016 10:49 | Whatever they said this morning it didn't do a lot for sentiment. Think we will be laid low here for sometime until it becomes clearer what Brexit actually means. | dr biotech

05/7/2016 14:14 | Once a run starts it is difficult to stop. | alphorn
05/7/2016 13:49 | Aviva has announced it has done the same today... No reason for the sell off though just protecting everyone. | chesty1
05/7/2016 09:09 | Think it's down to SL. putting the brake on their property funds. | uppompeii
04/7/2016 15:31 | Sector taking a battering today... Short sellers are out | carl79

28/6/2016 22:59 | I have my old, bullish position here and will just wait. Yield is good and barring catastrophes likely to be sustainable. I shall leave clever day trading strategies to others. Only the best 10% of traders make money that way. And it is too time-consuming. | edmundshaw
28/6/2016 16:03 | I forsee more downside the morrow. So off the table it comes.A quality company and ripe share price nonetheless... | nicksoj
28/6/2016 08:20 | Some of the mildest brexiteers are getting cold feet. Even moderate ones are split between those wanting to stay in the EEA and those wanting a complete split. In the country as a whole I think well over 60% would be happy to be in the EEA, with more control on laws and immigration, but staying in the economic union. For me the main problem with Johnson is that he is very pro-immigration, which is the very issue most people are worried about the most. | edmundshaw
27/6/2016 23:19 | Appreciate the reply, made two small purchases today. | essentialinvestor
27/6/2016 23:18 | Essential, good question. I'm not too worried about the bonds, which should be matched reasonably to liabilities in terms of maturity. In fact a fair amount is shorter term which is arguably good given the rise in longer dated yields? Equity securities, which is about 22% of financial investments ( was about 22%) are going to take a hit, though. Remains to be seen how much. | edmundshaw |
