18/9/2015 17:38 | I think that I read somewhere that they have been paying out some incorrect pensions??? I also think that it will not beneficial to Aviva if people decide to cash out some of their pensions. (Net long at present). | alphorn
18/9/2015 17:26 | Shocking price level this is at. I would put more in at these levels if I had it. Prospects are as good as anything I have in my portfolio is it just following the market down?. | tfergi
18/9/2015 10:18 | There has been a couple of broker downgrades HSBC cut price from 600 to 540 and UBS to 494 from 540. This is probably enough to cause the drops and recoveries. Whilst broker views are as valid as anyones the more I see them the more I realise that they follow the market rather than set it, they just move their targets more towards the current share price to make them look less stupid. | dr biotech
18/9/2015 10:02 | Not a clue, bili, but the fall is continuing. Now at new 12 month lows. | lord gnome
16/9/2015 19:49 | Any idea why we had this fall today in a buoyant market? Thanks..... | bili1946
11/9/2015 07:57 | For example, insurance giant, Aviva (LSE: AV), has posted a fall in its share price of almost 10% in the last month. This seems unwarranted, given that the business continues to make excellent long term progress with the turnaround strategy which was implemented just a few years ago. And, with the Friends Life merger apparently due to deliver substantial synergies and other cost savings, Aviva appears to be all set to post excellent share price gains over the medium to long term. In fact, Aviva could easily rise by a third. That’s because its shares currently trade on a lowly price to earnings (P/E) ratio of 10, which means that their rating would have to rise to a still rather lowly 13.3 in order to trade 33% higher. This appears to be very achievable since Aviva is forecast to outperform the FTSE 100 when it comes to earnings growth next year, with it being expected to record a rise in net profit of 11% in 2016. And, even if Aviva’s share price were to rise by 33%, it would still yield 4.4%, thereby continuing to be an impressive income play. | broadwood
10/9/2015 23:47 | I'd still be very happy with £6.20, and with the true value and cost saving program, I'd say it could be a realistic valuation. They do have exposure in Asia, but little to none in China. | the real capitalcity
10/9/2015 11:30 | Deutsche Bank stays buy on Aviva, target cut to 620p from 630p | broadwood

07/9/2015 16:34 | The US closes and the UK market is 'lost'. | bracke
07/9/2015 15:37 | Its not a very pretty chart but then very little is atm. A even slower afternoon with the US closed. | skinny
07/9/2015 15:33 | It looked at 458 and took fright. Will fear keep it moving up? | bracke
07/9/2015 13:46 | The share price is back to test support and range low at 458. On 24 August it broke intraday below 458 support but managed to close above it. A close below 458 would cause alarm bells to ring with the prospect of 430 and 411. | bracke
24/8/2015 13:37 | Ditto - I have kept 15% of my SIPP and 50% of my ISA in cash for the past year or so, this is getting to a level I may have to go into a few things, but when did I ever call it right? | uppompeii
24/8/2015 13:35 | This has been such a roller coaster for me over the years. | alphorn
