"Personally I think politics is entirely broken and doesn’t deliver for anyone"

Agree 100%

But you cant give the Lefties an open playing field, and dishonest claims / lies should be challenged wholeheartedly.

I’m chilled gecko and if you want to vent, knock yourself out. I find all the political stuff a bit dry. There’s an irrational fear, I think, about this party or that. Personally I think politics is entirely broken and doesn’t deliver for anyone.

I don't think people are that bothered about 'woke'. Only a few politicos get excited about it. People are broke, can't afford a house to buy or rent and need to think politicos will do something for them. This lot have run out of gas and looking for any angle to get a story, be it blaming immigrants or 'woke'. Right-wing clap-trap appealing to their membership fan base of 80 year olds and the Express.

I think ordinary people are fed up with the Tories and will more likely vote Labour than last time as Corbyn has been binned and Starmer at least comes across as decent. I met a senior teacher friend from a top boarding school last week for lunch. He expects the Tories out and said we need a change. I'm with him on that.

"Gecko, you aver that your smallish group is in the majority. Just wait until the next General Election, mate..."

This doesn't even make sense in the first instance.

Secondly just because Labour win next year doesn't mean that the "majority" are woke.

What it will mean is that "TURNOUT" will be at a historic low such that any mandate the victor claims will be invalidated by the fact that the majority of the country wont support them.

30-35% voter turnout likely

ie 65-70% don't bother to vote because they're sick of the Political Classes.

I echo those sentiments and wish everyone all the best and hopefully a happier New Year and eurofox to avoid any more bouts of Covid etc. 1robbob I share your view that AVIVA may well be on the radar of some credible parties with a link-up and/or JV of some significance.

In the world of CEO recruitment mantra, more pay equals better CEO’s.

Which is clearly a load of old self-serving tosh and thats putting it mildly.
