Don't forget that the company has been in business for more than 30 years, doesn't appear to revalue its property and land (I've only had a look at a couple of ARs - so I might be wrong there), and does depreciate its property at 3.33% p.a. so there may well be a considerable undisclosed value in land and property not included in the declared NTAV.
Regards.

Quick question s j if i may. Take it that the NTAV of 180p per share was taken from the last full year accounts? If so any views or thoughts on where the NTAV might be today?

Guys - please can you just Filter any Trolls, rather than responding to them?

By responding, you're falling into their trap, as it's actually your responses that trash the thread, which is what they want.

Terrific recovery in AVS this week - augurs very well for the future.
I feel it should re-rate to at least 2x NTAV, in line with other equipment hire companies.

Regards, Paul.

Thanks for that pp. By the way what is the current NTAV for AVS?

As you know Paul sometimes its hard to resist a response especially when the trolls (sounds like something out of Dr Who)get it so wrong.

But of course you are correct.
I will refrain in future from rising to his inane drivel on this thread at least.
Have a good weekend.

I bet the trolls would rather be trolls than a loser like you Pauly.

Care to tell the thread about 2008?????????????????

Go on dont be shy, you have balls trying to come here with the upper morals but trashed yourself and was described as an absolute wreck when you had to downsize.

How you can preach to anyone is beyond me.......and plenty of others.

YE Trading Statement history
Nov 2011 - "will be comfortably ahead of the current market expectations."
Dec 2012 - "will be ahead of the current market expectations."
2013 - no TS - busy with return of £31m cash to shareholders + 30% buyback
Dec 2014 - "will be ahead of current expectations"

Spot the pattern - not by chance imo - reflects cautious approach to market forecasts

Buyers returning - I'm not surprised

I added yesterday - already very overweight and my largest holding

Struggling to find better value though at the moment

Although I have been buying ITQ recently

The other positive for me is just how little interest there is

Last posts on LSE and iii nearly two months ago and only a few posters on here.

The accounts for 2014 were distorted by restructuring costs and redundancy payments totaling £5.7m and so stock screeners not picking up true performance which was an eps of 23.4p excluding exceptionals.

This year should be even higher imo.

Yes, on a more mature and sensible note, the buyback was very significant and personally I like their progressive dividend policy. As I mentioned in a previous post 1254, they may even pay a special dividend this year.

The Wolf re buybacks - They did in early 2014

Bought back 30% at 110p at a cost of nearly £9m

And returned 110p/share £31m to shareholders (capital or income option)

What more could you ask for!!!

Except a subsequent 100% increase in shareprice!!!

And still very good value 1H eps was 13.3p and - "the full year results are again likely to exceed the Board's prior expectations"

Solid balance sheet stacked with Assets

A little profit taking recently on the back of China worries but I'm expecting significant further progress this year

Interesting stock.

Personaly id like to see dividends used instead
to buy back stock.

I think taking that route investors getter a better
deal.
