24/8/2015 20:28 | Means nothing in a raving bear market......... "FYI - The company has already stated that results for the year will be ahead of expectations. The interim dividend was increased by a third and it's likely the final dividend will be hiked as well. I believe there is also the possibility of a special dividend. The forward P/E ratio is undemanding and the company boasts £1.80 in quality tangible assets.".........end MM May I suggest you get a little more experience like i have (32 years) and youl soon learn your wishfull thinking means nothing when the pack comes shuttering down. | mike740
24/8/2015 18:14 | mike740 - Can I politely request that you take your puerile ramblings onto another thread. Unless you have something to post about Avesco then perhaps a more general BB would be more appropriate for your comments. FYI - The company has already stated that results for the year will be ahead of expectations. The interim dividend was increased by a third and it's likely the final dividend will be hiked as well. I believe there is also the possibility of a special dividend. The forward P/E ratio is undemanding and the company boasts £1.80 in quality tangible assets. Next year should be even better with a significant boost from the Rugby World Cup, European Football Championships and Olympic Games. Correct me if I'm wrong, but whatever happens to Chinese growth it's unlikely that they'll be cancelling the three major events listed above. Of course WWIII might break out, but then most people might have more to worry about than the current values of their shares. FWIW I notice that the gloomsters are happily popping up all over the place with their doomsday scenarios for global stock markets e.g. this will be 20 times worse than 2008 etc. Over the years I have found this to be an excellent sign that a Bull Market is set to continue for the foreseeable future. In truth I have no more idea than anybody else what direction the markets will take. However, Bull Markets normally end when everybody is euphoric and stock prices have gone through the stratosphere. Personally, I don't remember any euphoria? There may also be a sudden realisation by investors that apart from dividend paying and growth stocks where else are you going to get a decent return on your money. I'll stick my neck out and say that the current volatility in the markets is a healthy correction, but I believe history may show this to be the longest Bull Market in living memory and will continue for two or three years yet!! Of course, in reality I have no more idea than anybody else, but let's see what happens in the forthcoming weeks and months ahead. Michael. | michaelmouse

24/8/2015 09:51 | mike who are you shorting these with? | 2breakout
24/8/2015 09:50 | Taking some profits!!!!!!!!, traders are going short. | mike740
24/8/2015 09:46 | Nothing wrong with those taking some profits cfro but for me the term investment means just that with AVS so holding for the forseeable future with every confidence we will be trading at £3 plus in time. | battlebus2
24/8/2015 09:45 | could only buy 1000 and had to put an order in to get that. | 2breakout

24/8/2015 09:33 | Are we oversold ?? I think so... | battlebus2
21/8/2015 17:06 | trouble is that Mike740 says nothing informative about a stock or why he thinks it should be cheaper, just puts things like TIMBER on about 10 different threads. If he said what the bear case was it might help other investors. So why do you believe AVS is overvalued mike740? | 2breakout
21/8/2015 16:56 | Thats what happens mick740 when you have so many usernames. You need to get a spreadsheet and bar chart system. As was said earlier the next update should tell us if these are as cheap as i think they are. Not so long since the other directors were eagerly buying the Chairmans shares. | shauney2
21/8/2015 16:50 | Apology accepted mike740. Let's move on. All informative contributions and debate are welcome. Michael. | michaelmouse
