02/7/2015 15:14 | Thats unfair Shanklin, they often have one canadian team as well! :) | thebantamboy
02/7/2015 14:36 | It would not surprise me if their record-breaking recent Projection onto the front of the awe-inspiring Hoover Dam for a major product launch, didn't earn Avesco enormous kudos and bring Creative North America to the attention of many other important deep-pocketed customers. Do use the arrows on the following link. It gives you an idea of what Avesco are up to, what they are capable of and of the massive scale of the projects they can now undertake. It's phenomenally good:- These productions don't come cheap and require state-of-the-art equipment, advanced technology and especially the expertise and experience which Avesco has. It is known that American corporations, sports events managers, sponsors, hosts, media buying and advertising agencies are totally prepared to pay up for the best. ALL IMO> DYOR. QP | quepassa
02/7/2015 14:15 | Whilst the us is growing massively and they are allocating a lot of capital there I cannot find much information, the uk/Europe can be followed on twitter easily enough, does anyone have any known source of info on what they are involved with other than off the official site? | deanowls
02/7/2015 13:46 | Yes, lots of world championships each year in sports only played in the US. | shanklin
02/7/2015 13:32 | I think the european games in Baku have helped. Also the american business in general seems to be doing well as they have more annually held big sporting events in the US | thebantamboy
01/7/2015 10:07 | Should we be thankful for women's world cup football...? that may be one reason why they are doing so well in an odd year. | weatherman
19/6/2015 16:05 | ROFL. It doesn't seem that difficult to buy stock currently. I don't have much cash in my SIPP, but I could currently buy 6k at 196.75p, so 198p and 199p don't seem at all reasonable. | shanklin
19/6/2015 15:54 | Another buy and he holds 3%.. | battlebus2
19/6/2015 15:54 | He reads the comments here and realised 1k was a tiny bit silly :)) | battlebus2
19/6/2015 15:52 | Jeeze, Mr Andrews is having an exciting day... Another 3k on top of the 1k from yesterday:-) | shanklin
19/6/2015 15:35 | I know ... certainly a vote of confidence whatever the reasoning...all good imv. | battlebus2
19/6/2015 15:32 | Indeed. But it is ANOTHER 1,000 at 199p ON TOP of the 200,000 he bought at 175p less than ten days ago. QP | quepassa
19/6/2015 15:05 | Oh yes that's very much the point Q.P. but it's only 1k.. | battlebus2
19/6/2015 14:41 | Isn't the point that a Company Director was prepared to pay a stonking 199p per share to buy? ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
19/6/2015 14:20 | And IMHO a great thought at that battlebus2! | liquid millionaire
19/6/2015 14:18 | Pushing the price higher for the possible upcoming bid. It's just a thought.... | battlebus2
19/6/2015 13:48 | Blimey, is that all the cash he found down the back of his sofa? | shanklin
18/6/2015 12:46 | Re my Post 1408 of 2/2/15. I mentioned at that time that Chelverton Asset Management's fund called Smaller Companies Dividend Trust(SCDT)had recently upped its stake in Avesco from 1.8% to 2.1%. According to Bloomberg shareholder analysis which I was checking yesterday, Bloomberg shows that SCDT have further increased their stake in Avesco to 3.08%. Excellent to see institutional buying. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
18/6/2015 11:26 | Its now my best performer this year. I expect more positive momentum as well and am looking at £3.50 target over 1 - 2 year view. | thebantamboy
18/6/2015 09:57 | Tipped somewhere maybe.Sods law just when i was thinking of adding. | shauney2
17/6/2015 16:09 | Thanks, chaps! QP | quepassa
17/6/2015 09:00 | Me also, luckily doubled my holding at 1.22 about three months ago, I've held for about three years and kept revisiting my figures on the cash flow ect and was thinking that I must have something wrong. If you look at the amount they are also spending on new kit (nice and tangible asset) particulary for the US they are very confident on being able to hire it out, it is not cheap either. I do wonder why the directors were not topping up when the chairman was though earlier in the year. Going into next year with the Olympics and the euros should prove to be a belter. | deanowls
17/6/2015 08:04 | Yes great summary Q.P. Similar story here S.J. can't see any dips below £2... | battlebus2
17/6/2015 08:03 | Paul - I doubt there will be a dip - just a slow rise as the market catches up with events. It is unusual for existing investors to be topping up (rather than top slicing)on such a significant rise but I like many added to an already overweight holding. Now my largest position. QuePassa - Great summary, thanks SJ | sailing john
16/6/2015 21:49 | Hi QuePassa, An excellent summary above, post 1530. I agree that there are some tremendously bullish factors converging here - especially the large scale Director buying AFTER the recent big rise in share price. This is highly significant in my view, and suggests that the prospects for the company must have dramatically improved this year. If you look at how Avesco might perform now it is restructured, then the broker forecasts look way too low, in my opinion. I could see 20-25p EPS as possible, put that on a PER of 12, and we're looking at 240-300p share price. With cracking divis whilst we wait. The PTBV here is about 1, which is very low for an equipment hire business. Most others are at least 2, some more than that. So that measure is supportive of a further increase in share price. I've not top-sliced any of my holding here - if anything, I'd want to buy more, on the next dip. Regards, Paul. | paulypilot |
