Have belatedly bought some. What are poster's thoughts on PBT and EPS going forward. Is it far too simplistic to just double up H1 profits to get to a FY estimate, especially when Edison are so very cautious in their update?

Have to echo what other posters have said. And I don't mind adding a big thanks to P Scott as had never heard of this until saw reference to it on his site. Did the DD and became a holder. The only real negative here would seem to be the tax charge which reflects growing US earnings. Nice problem to have in a way.

Edison Research Note just released:-

Quote
The shares continue to represent very good value, trading at a 20% discount to the NAV of 180p and yielding a prospective 4.9%.

Avesco upgraded again by Edison citing solid yield, net asset support, more consistent profits and cash.

Que Passa - worth repeating I think

So I'll take the liberty of copying my summary from eleswhere

Avesco 1H PBT £4.6m. Market Cap just £27m - but not for much longer
And Shareholder equity £34m (no silly intangibles), and interim divi +33% and FY ahead of expectations and and and! I think they might get noticed today!

I repeat my post 1492.

Boy Oh Boy!!

Interim dividend up by a STONKING 33% from 1.5p to 2p.

Outlook. Results for full year to exceed Board's PRIOR EXPECTATIONS.

Just to be clear about that. On 5th. March, Avesco gave a Trading Update when they said :- "Consequently the directors anticipate that results for the year to 30 September 2015 will be comfortably ahead of their previous expectations."

My interpretation of today's statement is that they expect full-year results to be even better than what they said in the March Trading Update.

These are excellent results with Creative in North America performing very strongly.

With a 33% increase in half-year dividend ( thank you Avesco), it seems most probable to me that the final dividend would also be increased by this same amount or more.

Looking strong. Very strong.

It's a cyclical business Shanklin with sporting events etc every couple of years so EPS was expected to be much lower this time round.

Given that adjusted EPS for 2014 was given as 23.4p, why is the EPS estimate for the current year only 10p? This seems a bit ludicrous.

Or is there something going on which is not immediately obvious?

Rogash the EPS will be well and truly beaten, this from edison in March..

We have increased FY15e revenue by £3.5m to £125.5m, which flows through to EBITDA of £24.2m (up £1.1m) and PBT of £4m, up £1m. FY15e EPS rises from 7.9p to 10.0p.
