I here on the grapevine that Avesco company have been successful with there bid for the Commonwealth Games next year,if they make as good a job as the Olympics they will do very well.

£1.10 a share expected from Disney payout towards the end of this year a share worth holding.

Thank you for reply Que--have signed up and will take a peek.

-Given the current market volatility, a nice measured response thus far to the interims and pay out news---holding tight here.

Williemanjaro,

Yes, Edison are, I believe, paid by their clients. But......
Edison produce some very good work. They do NOT give buy/sell recommendations and seem generally unbiased in their work in my opinion.

Their work reads more like independent research in my view. I have the impression that they market themselves on helping smaller companies to get themselves better known in the investing communities rather than on giving investors buy/sell recommendations.

It's a free service and costs nothing whatosever to sign up as a subscriber.

As Edison tend to cover much smaller companies, you can sometimes find some excellent analysis which is otherwise unavailable. In my view, well worth reading.

I believe someone else has already provided a link. Have a look and judge for yourself.

Very encouraged by yesterday's interims and future business prospects for Avesco, especially for 2014.

I am expecting that investors will get the Disney pay-out by November/December which in the scheme of things is not that far away.

I think it is important also not to lose sight that Avesco maintained and paid a regular corporate dividend as well, as they have now been doing since early 2011.

This is a sign of a responsible AIM-listed company which is building a reliable track record of paying ongoing regular dividends. Well done to Avesco management.

ALL IMO. DYOR.

investor relations are out of the office until 18th june.
have basically asked three questions.
1) why the delay in payout.
2) how much of the £2.1 million cash bonus to LTIP holders is going to the directors.
3) what is the £1 million related bonus and who got it.

meanwhile if avesco can hit the £5 million pbt for 2014 they are looking remarkably cheap imo.

typo56,I have no problem with directors receiving the cash return on shares they have have actually paid for , but the payment of £2.1 million pounds to the directors just seems to stick in my throat for some reason.will have to look further into the LTIP before I contact the company.but will certainly take up the fact that it will be the autumn , to tell us the details of the return,no excuse in my book for that.other companies manage to do this type of payout in about six weeks, thats six weeks to getting the money in your bank!

funchalman, directors receive share awards made under the LTIP as disclosed in the annual reports. However, I'm not sure I see a problem with directors benefiting in this way. They also hold ordinary shares - do you think they should be excluded from the payout made to ordinary shareholders? It is, after all, money AVS were entitled too and both the LTIP and ordinary shareholders would have benefited from it earlier, had Disney not pulled a fast one!

Avesco shares effectively for 90p ( 200p less 110cash divi ).
Yield now 4.5%. Dividend maintained. Zero gearing.

Bargain territory.

not too fussed about the split of the Disney cash between shareholders and paydown of debt as such.

BUT

why do we have to wait for the autumn before we hear details of the return of cash, this is a simple return of capital or income,it should be done and dusted i.e paid , well before the autumn.

can someone please tell me that the directors do not benefit from the LTIP and this is for the employees of avesco,to save me looking it up.

As above, it was always the majority, never all of it, and they are distributing 70%. Post distribution, PE will be 7.5 and yield of 4.2%.

My understanding is that they said they would distribute the majority of the cash to shareholders and that's what they've done.

i have been invested in the company for approx 18 months now, hardly a fast buck... but depends on your age and outlook as to your description of fast...

Avesco statements at the time stated they would return cash to shareholders, not that they would return SOME of the cash to shareholders...

lets see how this is voted by the market..

Once you strip out the special 110p Disney dividend, the share now trades on a very attractive 4% yield with strong outlook for 2014.

Underlying business and trading results much more robust than expected.

Comfort can be drawn from the fact that Interim Dividend has been maintained.

For an AIM-listed stock this 4% yield is very good, especially given special IHT tax treatment of AIM stocks and strong chance that AIM stocks will be ISA-able shortly.

Effectively zero gearing now, leaves Avesco in a strong financial position.

North America operations should further bolster future profits as US economy significantly strengthens. Future prospects look strong.

ALL IMO. DYOR.

What are they trying to achieve? Well obviously they're reducing debt. Those after a fast buck with unrealistic expectations might be upset but a 70/30 shareholder/company split seems fair and sensible to me.

they get 10% more in settlement and are paying 26% less than expected.............. only £1.10 ?

what are they trying to achieve here...
