29/10/2009 19:06 | Tipped by RHPS again 2day. This is getting tipped everywhere.!! | topinfo
28/10/2009 14:30 | Have a look at the company's web site and the latest interview with David Williams wherein he refers to the bi-annual release of new satelites and his ambitions for the long term growth of the company. Very impressive! | ![]() dolores123
26/10/2009 15:21 | Today's share price reaction to the contract news has so far been small. However the cumulative effect of the next 2 or 3 contract announcements should get the share pricing moving to say £4.50 or so. | ![]() dolores123
26/10/2009 13:55 | Topped up at this price and spread, with this news. Looks like profit taking. | ![]() cestnous
26/10/2009 13:26 | I guess there is some downside factored in until after successful launch? the underwritten loss is £1.70 a share or so, maybe less now with dilution since. A successful launch will no doubt re-rate as the risk is removed I think. Only remaining concern would be getting bashed by bits of redundant space hardware like parts of Russian space stations! | ![]() chrissey
26/10/2009 10:14 | My largest holding and the one I feel most confident about future progress. | ![]() cestnous
26/10/2009 09:58 | Another great and strategic contract. The management team at AVN appear to be excellent and making all the right decisions. D | ![]() dolores123
26/10/2009 08:27 | This will only be one way traffic as far as i am concerned , the only downside i can see is potential problems with the testing. more announcements will just keep adding value, looking forward to news of the low cost financing for the next 1 if not 2 sats that will add significantly to the share price. j. | ![]() jonnyno1
26/10/2009 08:14 | this is a huge deal plus I wouldn't be suprised to see some coroporate action longer term. be interesting to see how the session progresses, I think this is a 50p at least hike! | ![]() chrissey
26/10/2009 07:29 | Big news today. Both customer equipment organised and a big operational contract. Better and better. | ![]() codhead1
20/10/2009 09:50 | The company actually mentioned in the recent final results that the launch window is April to June 2010. Also the company said ""We are now in our launch year, the year in which we will begin to realise our potential. The procurement of one of the most complex and innovative commercial satellite systems ever built has progressed well, with the system expected to operate at the top end of technical performance expectations. With the support of ESA and our very strong shareholder base we took the opportunity to de-risk our project with the purchase of an Arianespace launch, the World's most reliable launch service." Lets hope the share price also rockets!!! Quite a few people including advisers seem to expect it to. | ![]() dolores123
20/10/2009 06:42 | "on target for launch in French Guyana in Q2 2010" Take it that means April,May or June next year, probably depending on weather conditions. | blue forever
19/10/2009 16:49 | Surely we cannot expect any real price explosion until Hylas is successfully in orbit and confirmed to have survived the stress of launch. Does anyone know when the launch is expected more specifically than "2010"? | clinkers
16/10/2009 09:00 | Red Hot Penny shares magazine says that once more news of the second satelite is announced the shares will multiple in value and Equity Developments says the same. | ![]() dolores123
16/10/2009 00:44 | Stick over 400p and they'll explode to 500p within a short time imo ... bwtfdik :-) | ![]() dil
14/10/2009 16:21 | Stick over 400 and next move is to.440 | ![]() cestnous
14/10/2009 16:01 | Two really big purchases today of 100,000 shares and 75,000 shares. | ![]() dolores123
09/10/2009 15:12 | From Equity development Avanti Communications VALUATION We have used a DCF to value the satellite over its expected life of 15 years (although in reality operators are able to extract a few more years of operation). On the basis that management can sell the capacity at between £1,250 and £2,000MHz per month, we value HYLAS at least 525p per share. This valuation takes into account the additional capex (and debt) for the switch to the Arianne launcher, a refinancing of the PIK at much more advantageous rates and the full repayment of the debt. There remains considerable more value in the company's ability to launch further satellites and exploit its licenses and technology and this is not yet recognised in the share price. So, for example, Indigo is expected to the have a payload three times larger than HYLAS, which in itself should add multiples to the current share price. Once Indigo has been given the go-ahead, we will be revising our share price target. Avanti Communications 6 www.equity-developme I certify that this report represents my own opinions John Walter, Senior Analyst 020 7065 2690 | ![]() cestnous
06/10/2009 09:55 | So we now have several professional advisers stating price targets of 540p per share, 600/650p per share, 694p per share and 700p per share. The differences are probably due to time scales and news of new contracts and in respect of arrangements for subsequent satelites. All good stuff in front of us. | ![]() dolores123

01/10/2009 12:16 | right now my spread betting account with cmc is showing AVN 820p to buy 395p to sell any body else got the same situation with any other SB company ??? | ![]() africa99
01/10/2009 10:39 | Have a look at the Wild blue web site. They seem to have had only one satelite of their own and leased space from Telesat re another satelite, but their download speed was only up to 1.5 mbps - seems very slow. They say it had Ka equipment aboard but was obviously not in the same high speed class of the Avanti satelite. They only compare themseves to dial up speeds. Avanti will offer speeds up to 10mb. Avanti market cap only £179m - so I am looking for the share price to treble over the medium term more so as arrangements for second and third satelites are announced. | ![]() dolores123
01/10/2009 09:50 | Viasat is buying Wild Blue in the USA for $565million | terryebby |
