17/7/2009 20:11 | honhehon cestnous, it has closed above 300p, a crucial resistance level and will now march on up. I fear you need to reset your buy price mon brave | terryebby
16/7/2009 11:37 | Suspect it will come down to around 2.70 then it will be top up time , general situation dependant. | ![]() cestnous
15/7/2009 20:44 | it's still got to either borrow a lot of money or dilute it's shares to pay for these satellites. Not much of a problem if the government wants to give them free(ish) money the Company is in an advanced stage of due diligence regarding a government offer for the provision of low cost debt finance for a second satellite | ![]() sg31
15/7/2009 20:37 | Yes it has potential to make shed loads of cash but it's still got to either borrow a lot of money or dilute it's shares to pay for these satellites. | plasterkay
15/7/2009 16:14 | The offer goes up and the bid goes down......odd i sure don't understand that | ![]() yorgi
15/7/2009 11:02 | I'm with you Cestnous. I believe this has great potential and from what I understand that should the launch go wrong.....although no reason to think it will it is insured and it should not be a complete disaster. Trade it maybe but i have no intention of selling out for some time to come yet and way above where they are now | ![]() yorgi
15/7/2009 09:49 | AVN is up 4.2% or 11p on IG I guess ADVFN is having a glitch. I totally agree with the angst and depression theory having bought at £1.80 a couple of months ago after selling last year and waiting for a new entry point. Timing is everything. | ![]() m4lcolm
15/7/2009 08:50 | IMHO, anyone who gets out of this before the launch (or takeover). will suffer angst and depresssion for years afterwards. All shares are risky, as all the old pensioners in my local pub have found with the dividends on thier bank shares etc.. I do not agree that this share is overvalued considering its potential, and at the moment, I see no reason why the share price should not continue to rise over time. If it does drop for no good reason, then I will buy more, as I did in the buying opportunity created by the banking crisis. If there was a seriously unfavourable announcement then I would consider getting out and buying back later. With no such announcement I will be staying in , just in case I miss the inevitable re-rating. It is ALL about timing. | ![]() cestnous
15/7/2009 02:22 | you never know Jimbo55, money talks and sometimes shouts! | ![]() chrissey
14/7/2009 18:13 | I think the drop today may have been due to the brocker on Trading Places saying Avanti Communications was due a correction. You can watch it for yourself on here, it is about half way through: It got me to sell as I had only just bought in and did not want to incare heavy losses. Though I do think AVN is a good long term prospect. IMHO | ![]() flyingswan
14/7/2009 16:56 | Tried to get £1k at the end no joy dropped to £500 still no joy. | pelleeds1980
14/7/2009 16:48 | Still a lot of risk with this share. I would be glad to get £5 share at anytime in the next 5years. | plasterkay
14/7/2009 16:22 | Hope your both right | ![]() 5dally
14/7/2009 13:59 | I agree with with you Jimbo......totaly | ![]() yorgi
14/7/2009 13:44 | > chrissey - 13 Jul'09 - 18:54 - 603 of 606 > > I think high probability these guys will sell the company (with our consent > of course), north of £5 a share and in the next 3 months (IMHO only). Have you seen any David Williams interviews Chrissey? I strongly doubt he would even remotely consider selling the company this side of the satellite launch. That is, unless he's a better actor than I've given him credit for. | ![]() jimbo55
14/7/2009 12:52 | Initially 180-220p ish | ![]() argy2
14/7/2009 11:01 | I am not in here (yet)but what would it do to the share price if the satellite launch failed ? | albycat2
14/7/2009 09:26 | Up again this morning and someone paying the full ask..think you could be right chrissey but I would like to see this go all the way under the heading of AVN | ![]() 5dally
13/7/2009 18:54 | I think high probability these guys will sell the company (with our consent of course), north of £5 a share and in the next 3 months (IMHO only). We lose out on longer term gain but I almost see this as inevitable? | ![]() chrissey
13/7/2009 16:34 | Good strong finish. What would be good would be a failed bid , sell on the spike and buy back in when it falls through. Here's hoping! | ![]() cestnous
13/7/2009 16:12 | Yep - in that same RNS "The Board of Avanti believes that the Company has excellent prospects as an independent group. " | pelleeds1980
13/7/2009 16:03 | I don't think we need worry David Williams is not going to let it go cheap I feel sure of that | ![]() yorgi
13/7/2009 15:35 | Was back in Feb this year they had an unsolicited offer Looking at the RNS history they are getting the contracts through | pelleeds1980 |
