10/12/2010 12:50 | The only one I believe ? | yorgi
10/12/2010 12:39 | Hoodless B say SELL...... hmmm Avanti Communications (AVN, 701p, £561.94m) Avanti's share price has performed almost as well as its first satellite's launch vehicle. However the reality of technology is beginning to catch up with AVN with trials in the Welsh mountains using the frequencies previously used for analogue TV to deliver broadband connectivity. That combined with mesh style wireless networks and point to pint transmission systems AVN will certainly come under pressure from competing technologies as frequencies are released. After all the vast majority of houses are capable of receiving analogue television using simple and cheap consumer equipment. Take profits and SELL. (Julian Tolley) | stegrego
10/12/2010 12:29 | Moving in the right direction again. | yorgi
10/12/2010 11:55 | A nice 75k buy just went through at full ask. | julcester
10/12/2010 07:58 | Thanks for that Restassured. | yorgi
10/12/2010 07:53 | Another decent write up and buy recommendation in this months Techinvest. "Anyone in the UK and within our European beams who needs broadband can have it,regardless of their location." "Manufacturing of Hylas 2 can now proceed at full speed." "Avanti is now firmly on track to establish itself as a leader in satellite broadband communications.Buy." | restassured
09/12/2010 22:41 | The only thing stopping me adding is this nagging doubt that the satellite might not function correctly. In that sense I see the Director sale as quite an important signal that all is well - but its only a signal and I would welcome an RNS. | melody9999
09/12/2010 21:31 | Very short term pullback though, yorgi ... | meljohn
09/12/2010 13:06 | As Meljohn says after hitting new highs we should expect a pullback and I'm quite sure there will be quite a few who had bought in around 600p pre launch and are taking that short term profit. | yorgi
09/12/2010 13:03 | That's good :-) | yorgi
09/12/2010 12:43 | yorgi-- Yep I'm still in there travelling with you! | pojscott
09/12/2010 12:40 | Time to buy/add I'm quite sure and as you say Peedlep we can expect more good news ahead. Pojscott, we are still travelling.....well we are not sure about you :-) | yorgi
09/12/2010 12:07 | Well I increased my spreadbet this morning. With the director sales out of the way and the satellite seemingly fit and well, the only news I can expect is more contracts...and subsequently the company hitting more peoples' radars.. | peedlep
09/12/2010 10:24 | Meljohn - I am sure you are right but I like the days when everything is blue but today I am all red bar one!! | ib1905
09/12/2010 09:30 | Every time we hit a new high, pojscott, we can expect a pullback. The key is higher lows ... | meljohn
09/12/2010 08:56 | Down this morning--better to travel than to arrive????? | pojscott
08/12/2010 15:59 | Very low volumes today-quite surprising really, perhaps everyone has gone Christmas shopping? | blue forever
08/12/2010 15:58 | Hi M.T.Glass Exactly as Mel John described. I honestly can't see price hanging onto these levels for much longer. Come mid Jan 700p should well and truely be our base for further advances. | smudgeroo
08/12/2010 13:47 | Falling wedge patterns. Bullish. | meljohn
08/12/2010 12:19 | smudgeroo - what do those fan lines mean? | m.t.glass
08/12/2010 11:21 | Coming back now perhaps we may even end the day ahead | yorgi
08/12/2010 10:39 | Yes that makes sense Meljohn I would agree with that. Fickle markets that's for sure | yorgi
08/12/2010 10:35 | The most obvious example would be a failure to get HYLAS fully functioning. If there was any indication of any knd of problem, the director could not sell, so the sale is reassuring ... | meljohn |
