Thanks guys it's so amusing to see that you think I am a gang. Report me to ADVFN they can investigate they have all my details.

Report me to iii get a petiton, perhaps an MP can bet involved.

Those that think I'm a deramper or part of a gang/team are completely and utterly deluded.

Volsung Brilliant post, at last someone with a sense of humour.

There are lots of shares I wouldn't touch with a barge pole but I don't feel compelled to spend my time posting on their threads saying so.

I am begining to see exactely what you are saying Restassured.....Some are quite clever in the way they put the negaive angle on it while putting on the pretence of having no opinion one way or the other.....Yes well I have stopped those that I can.......the last one amused me, but no idea what superg1 is saying as I have had him filtered for days

volsung - like it , well put. AVN is the best and only satellite company you would wish to put your money into. It has miles to go yet.

supergl filtered for not confirming the positive bias of holders. Doesn't he know that BBs are only of use to confirm the validity of actions we have already taken?

supergl - filtered, not because of anything other than I don't like his supercilious tone (disdainful: having or showing arrogant superiority to and disdain of those one views as unworthy)

It seems the future could be bright. But I don't see some of the prices claimed with just 2 satellites planned.

Nothing is certain re Hylas 3 and until it is I see no point in pricing that in.

Without Hylas 3 I have seen prices of £8.70 ish. A rise from here yes, but that launch is 2012, with an estimated 5 years to fill its capacity (2017).

So why people were shouting £10 following the launch I couldn't see that and raised the issue. I like the LPX board on iii something has been building there and the news came today. Very good news, but the BB had the common sense to realise that much of the news had already been priced in pre rns and so it is slightly down on the news.

Avanti always had a small rise coming post launch which was the very small chance it could go wrong. That happened. IMO the capacity of Hylas 1 is priced in as analysts price that below the current share price, so it's hylas 2 they now look forward to.

If Hylas 1 fills rapidly and exceeds expectation then expect a rise on anticipation that Hylas2 will get similar demand. The original target for Hylas 1 was 3 years. Hype said nearer 1 year but the recent news says 3 again.

This may explain why it hasn't started to fly yet and more confidence is needed re contracts that fill up Hylas 1 before the set target.

All I do is urge caution not because I don't like the company, but because it was being hyped to death for post launch. No-one can deny that it's on the BB's

yorgi : As promised have skimmed the BB following my exit.Have also done a little background research. I have no axe to grind either way. I'm neither ramping or de-ramping but your posts always struck me as fairly genuine , but bearing in mind your possible sell at 800p , I feel the question you have to ask yourself is ' on fundamentals ... does AVN currently justify a market cap equivalent to being just outside the FTSE 250?

Due to this being 'a high risk' share I endeavoured to under-write my previous investment as we headed into the 'launch period'. I hope you've done the same. My judgement is that the Directors have and I'd be very suprised if TW hasn't!

I also anticipate some severe market turbulence in the New YEAR which won't help AVN ? What's going to drive the share price up over the next few months. It aint going to be contract wins 'cause at north of 700p I judge them to be factored in.

Whatever you decide I wish you a prosperous New YEAR. Your wise analysis in the past encouraged me to invest in AVN and make a really good return so I'm very grateful to you. Bon chance mon ami.

superg1 ... just out of interest what price (or market cap) do you see as being currently fair value for AVN?

if supergl doesn't like the company he should put his money where is mouth is and short them, unlike most of us who are long here, he seems rather unsure and I cannot see why he bothers posting here if he hasn't an interest either way ,short or long in the company, he seems to post to annoy us, most of holders have researched the company for themselves

Hi Superg1. I do not know your history on other threads and so take you at face value. I for one appreciate a bit of balance. I don't necessarily agree with all of it, but you do raise some reasonable points. For me, I base my decision (and I am long) on my broker's feedback, the broker notes, links helpfully provided on this board and a bit of opinion (as well as my own of course!). These all have helped me form an overall gut feel for the share and hence my current stance.

I also followed TW into Myhome and got my fingers burnt but that company,s CEO was a bit of a crook (allegedly) and was using Myhome,s premises to run his own business.

I find it reassuring that TW has a large holding of AVN in his t1ps fund and that its one of the best performing funds on the market.
