05/12/2012 15:19 | Still done seem to be able to push on up despite enough information about confirming that the selling/shorting of AVN has been way overdone and looking ahead all is going to plan. | ![]() yorgi
05/12/2012 15:12 | I was (half) listening to the autumn statement on BBC2 whilst doing other things. I cross checked what I thought I heard and found this. No doubt all will be revealed . . . The government will attempt to boost small cap funding and liquidity by consulting on plans to allow AIM market stocks to be held directly within tax-efficient wrappers such as ISAs. The statement, is the latest on a long list of attempts to improve smaller businesses access to funding, from incentives on bank lending, and the 2012 Budget's near-forgotten proposals on packaging small cap debt securities to meet institutional minimum investment limits. | johncsimpson
05/12/2012 15:11 | I was (half) listening to the autumn statement on BBC2 whilst doing other things. I cross checked what I thought I heard and found this. No doubt all will be revealed 'as the various specialist news reporting cotton on' . . . The government will attempt to boost small cap funding and liquidity by consulting on plans to allow AIM market stocks to be held directly within tax-efficient wrappers such as ISAs. 05/12/2012 08:19 | Hi Simon We met a few years ago at your house and I was interested by your short on this stock. I agree the accounting of income is an issue and buying a client who was unable to service a debt doesn't look good either. What is not an issue is the strategic value of these assets and that the shares are trading at a substantial to net assets. Given the depressed nature of the share price and the valuation, the bet you are making is that AVN will go bust and, although this can not be discounted, it is likely that the company would be sold. The other concern is that Williams has stuffed the business with unprofitable revenue and that this could put off potential suitors. W | ![]() woozle1

03/12/2012 10:24 | John, Whitespace may be very useful, but the concept of using it as rural broadband solution is inherently flawed, except maybe in a very limited niche sense.....look up the Hidden Transmitter Syndrome. Electricity/Gas/Wate Avanti sold its Legacy business to Qsat of Ireland back in January, "removing a channel conflict with Avanti's wholesale distribution strategy". Avanti is now is part owner of a satellite reseller Filiago, Why would Avanti take this backward step? | gorvachof

30/11/2012 18:08 | Spot on Yorgi. As he's gone long, it's nothing to do with 'accounts' or fundamentals, its just 'I say short, sheep follow, price goes down, I make money, go long, I make money again' If no one followed him, it doesn't work. A pyramid scheme of sorts. | ![]() waterloo01
30/11/2012 17:56 | Yes but he was still trying to encourage others this week to short.....while he was buying back if you are correct VeryMaryHinge......I My comment earlier in the week his disciples make his profits for him ! | ![]() yorgi |
