i was in avn a while ago off the back of a tip from rhps.. thankfully since then i sold at a profit and didnt look back at this.. but went long at 250 here.. dont hold shares.. wouldnt mind holdnig shares but accounts holding too many already.. before all the recent buys by directors and the last few orders i created a summary outlining what the contracts collectively could be worth:

i was abit starry eyed when i orignally wrote the article.. i'm since more cautious and have learnt a trick or two on technicals and following my own hunches.. but do think this is seriously a decent price to buy in pre launch of the next sattalite... we might have tech thats not brilliant at the moment.. but can see this playing the run up game

I think the main reason it's at this price are the doubts raised by Evil's shorting campaign and a fault strewn report put out by a negligent broker(they retracted and apologised if I recall correctly). I've used the opportunity to almost treble my holding bringing my average down from over £5 to £3.49. Thanks Evil!

Agreed Undertaker......I just don't see why the directors would pile their own money into the company if the technology was flawed or the business plan not working........why do that there would be no point.

I've added again today, I just can't see it staying at this level much longer.....mind you I have thought that before and a lot higher level.

There is either something wrong big time that we know nothing about or it is a crazy level due to big seller and when cleared it should rise very sharply......I know what I'm banking on.

It's been bashed as people await the next launch - but the key at the moment would seem to be the fast take up rate of contracts and the future revenue streams becoming visible. Also it must look quite tasty to another player at these prices??

Don't post too much anywhere, anymore but I've been in and out of this share for the past two years. I buy and sell based on my charts and it mostly works for me. I posted about a fortnight ago after an update (1st March), flagging up a major update in RHPS (Friday 2nd March).

There has been a resistance/support line in the 250p area going back some 2+ years and although two days ago AVN fell to the 240p area intraday, the indicators I use are still all 'valid' – valid in my terms that is.

Fine tuning shows me that 248p is the key figure and (and it's all IMHO, of course), I'm looking for a sustained break up through this number . . .

Jenson6 posted yesterday (7986) that he/she thought 178p was a possibility which spooked me at the time but I can see no historic evidence for this figure. Of course, if you don't rate charting you won't take any notice either way. As I post AVN is trying very hard to break that 248 -250p area. I suspect I'll be a lot wiser come the end of today.

i don't think there is another AIM company where directors have bought so much stock if i recall they were big buyers too around £6 mark, so anyway im getting a big holding together to join them at this level....if they don't know the score then who does! when the sellers done this should rocket...

Very hard to make any sense of AVN's trades for sometime......who trades 3 shares or 38 for that matter and 135 is not exactly a large trade.

SP never recovered since the Directors took £5m of profit on their shares before the first satellite had even gone into service.
