07/3/2012 15:58 | As long as all the analysts are right the share price is not telling us something ! :-) | ![]() yorgi
07/3/2012 15:31 | Well,just have to sit through it I guess! | blue forever
07/3/2012 15:22 | Blue, no idea but as most of the buyers will be PI's with relatively small holdings, it could take a while. That could change if one of the larger holders (ie Govt Singapore) decide to add below a certain price and clear the overhang. | ![]() waterloo01
07/3/2012 14:52 | How many shares has this "forced seller" got to sell for God`s sake? | blue forever
07/3/2012 10:47 | Like others, I've been toppong up over the last few days at this price. Obviously we have a seller in the background, which is keeping the share price down. Why I think this is worth buying? Director recent buys in Oct at 285 (and larger ones last year at 500ish) Over £45m of contracts announced in the last 3 months (plus two without numbers attached but for BT (could be very valuable) and STM. £500m in pipeline orders (6/2/12) Funding in place Targeting growth markets Hylas 1 & 2 capacity sales ahead of forecast Charts look ready to take off back towards 400p | ![]() waterloo01

06/3/2012 14:44 | As I have been saying for some time the market will need to see some numbers this time as the shorters and doubters crucified the share price last year and before we see a significant rise AVN will need to show the progress being made from their accounts in my view. | ![]() yorgi
06/3/2012 14:41 | Yes Polythene but we are making good progress and Hylas 2 is not even up there yet ! | ![]() yorgi

06/3/2012 14:30 | Gnmartin, I have to agree it is not altogether clear but they are talking in percentage terms.....and I guess from say 10% 11% maybe 12% to 13%-16%......thats how I read it anyway. | ![]() yorgi
06/3/2012 14:25 | What (in post 7844) does "we estimate that Avanti has now pre-sold a "lowteens" % of HYLAS-2 capacity (from "low double digit")" mean? Is "low double digit" different from "lowteens"? The quote from Jeffries reads as if Jeffries think "lowteens" is an improvement on "low double digit" (ie higher). Nigel Martin | ![]() gnnmartin

06/3/2012 14:15 | From Jeffries: Avanti has this morning announced the signing of a $23.9m five-year deal with Commcarrier of Kenya for HYLAS-2 capacity. The contract win is significant both in terms of deal size and marketing potential, and consolidates a recent acceleration in commercial momentum. Avanti to work with Commcarrier of Kenya. Avanti has announced this morning that it has signed a contract with Commcarrier of Kenya for the provision of satellite bandwidth over East Africa on its HYLAS-2 satellite. At a fixed $23.9m spread over five years, the contract is amongst the largest Avanti has signed (based on publicly available commercial terms) over the past year. We'd flag that the contract is not an option for services. Commercial momentum is building. At the 1H12 results, Avanti reported that its backlog of contracted sales stood at £181m. Today's win alone represents an uplift of 8% to reported backlog. Commercial momentum is clearly building at Avanti with seven contract wins disclosed in the past three months at a monthly average of, we estimate, ~£13m in total capacity sales, comfortably ahead of the target £11m run-rate that management has stated as being needed to meet guidance timing for filling HYLAS-1 and HYLAS-2 capacity and follows management's reduction at the FY12 interims of the estimate of time to fill HYLAS-2 from five to four years. Following this deal, we estimate that Avanti has now pre-sold a "lowteens" % of HYLAS-2 capacity (from "low double digit"). Significant marketing potential. Apart from its size, today's deal is significant for two reasons in our view: 1. It will give Avanti crucial case studies across all its products, helpful for future marketing | ![]() billytkid2

Avanti has the right technology and business model for this market and we are very pleased to work with them." David Williams, CEO of Avanti, said: "East Africa is a fantastic market for our services and I am pleased to see the demand beginning to turn into large contracts. 06/3/2012 13:50 | Your not the only one amazed Geheimnis :-) I also added some today........The share price is just not reflecting the strides the company is making with the flow of contract wins and todays is a decent one to get under the belt. Why it is not showing on ADVFN is a mystery as well. | ![]() yorgi |
