Directors Shareholdings

Avanti Communications Group plc (AIM: AVN), the broadband satellite operator, was notified on 7(th) March 2012 by David Williams, Chief Executive, that he had purchased 10,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 250 pence per ordinary share. David Williams now holds a total direct and indirect voting right interest in 1,643,801 ordinary shares in the Company, being approximately 1.47% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company. Mr Williams has a further revocable and indirect interest in 522,233 ordinary shares under the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan which are subject to certain criteria.

mega...re: forced seller, there was a post by someone (forget who now) a couple of weeks back saying that they had spoken with the House Broker..who had informed them of a known forced seller in the market.

Always good to see directors dipping into their own pockets. There's no better sign.
Out of interest why have some mentioned a forced seller? Do we know that they are forced as opposed to just losing patience?

Avanti appoints new non-executive director

Avanti Communications Group plc announces that Paul Walsh has joined the Board of Avanti as a non-executive Director with effect from 3rd January 2012. Mr Walsh is Chief Executive of Diageo plc, an appointment he took up in September 2000. He is also a non-executive Director on the boards of FedEx Corporation (USA) and Unilever PLC.
