06/3/2012 09:54 | It will move up when the cash starts flowing. Hylas2 contracts will also be discounted by the launch risk. I imagine this will start moving as we approach launch date in July and thereafter support will come from cashflows - assuming they come in as expected. | ![]() jeffian
06/3/2012 09:44 | hywel - read my post 7826 - don't discount the ongoing middle east events. It's 'generally effecting' a large part of the market but, for the moment, not AVN. These are dangerous times . . . | johncsimpson

06/3/2012 07:56 | BillyTKid2 - 6 Mar'12 - 07:32 - 7821 of 7825 $24m contract thats got to be worth 3% down today. Has often been the case in the past but I'm sticking with my 250p support line. On a wider picture frame, we have the Israelis ramping up the Iran 'situation' and actively telling America that - I paraphrase "We are you and you are us" - Netanyahu talking tough to Obama in yesterday's Iran meeting. i.e. if there's any dirty work to be done will you do it/help us do it? | johncsimpson

The contract is valued at $23.9m over five years. The launch of Avanti's HYLAS 2 satellite will provide a major boost to the region's infrastructure development goals both in the near and medium term. Avanti has the right technology and business model for this market and we are very pleased to work with them." David Williams, CEO of Avanti, said: "East Africa is a fantastic market for our services and I am pleased to see the demand beginning to turn into large contracts. CommCarrier is a credible and well connected partner for the region and we are working together already on additional prospective business." ---ENDS--- | ![]() someuwin

04/3/2012 20:19 | Don't understand your embarrassment CC RHPS gets a lot of bad press. It's a tip sheet; there are others - you can take them or leave them. What I do know is RHPS 'new' tips do tend to go up some - and very quickly. But this isn't a new tip so I'll be happy to see it edge back towards 300p. All being well the bigger rise will come nearer the Hylas2 launch in July. I have read before (and it was mentioned again in RHPS) that there have been in the past 'some short-term speculators who have attacked the share price'. It's also true that AVN have released news of new contracts only for the share price to end up below where it was before the news. Irrespective of RHPS, there was a resistance line at about 250p which was ultimately broken towards the end of June 2009 (AVN has been as high as 700p - end of 2010 - in the interim). 250p seems now to be support and was tested end of Sept 2011 and is there again at the moment. So with the charts looking good and this latest write up, will we see a move back toward 700p in the next four months? Re my comments about RHPS new tips jumping after being tipped, I'll come back tomorrow with news but one's currently an 8p share with a 12.5% spread, the other's currently 24p with a +16% spread. So you'd have to have balls to 'back' them eh Volvo? I for one will be passing . . . | johncsimpson |
