16/3/2011 07:57 | Good FT article, it is no surprise to me that the Demand is so much greater than the supply. Those living in the UK are buffeted from lack of broadband. Living in rural France, I can tell you that people here want it but can't get it. Same in Germany, Spain and Italy. That is why SC and his informant are so very wrong ( albeit right short term) when there is excess demand, pricing is never your problem, ensuring supply is. Nice to see DW spending more money, these are the people who know what is going on in the business not some shorter or analyst who have never been involved in the industry. Gg | greengiant
16/3/2011 07:45 | Daily Mail...... Buyers returned for satellite group Avanti Communications, 26.25p better at 450p. Broker Cenkos Securities pointed out that the shares had fallen from a post HYLAS 1 satellite launch high of 740p to a seven-month low of 427p. The broker believes the current level provides a compelling buying opportunity and is confident the shares will reach £23 over the next two years nb That brings the average target price from three brokers,in the last 24 hours, to 2046p 454% upside. | restassured

15/3/2011 20:41 | nikkei futures up 320 so showing a good bounce | dougie471
15/3/2011 18:14 | pixi - the NIkkei was off over 10% when there was absolute panic about the fall out...so I would expect it to bounce as things are nowhere near as bad as first feared hopefully the pumping of sea water has enabled them to get things under control | tsmith2
15/3/2011 17:58 | That sounds a bit optimistic to me, tsmith 4517. I suspect the Nikkei will continue to fall to support. As far as AVN is concerned, I suspect the "whoosh" will translate into a slow climb on earnings. Of course, I would be delighted with your scenario if it happens! | pixi |
