It is CFD's not shares,because they are much cheaper to trade.

FWIW They say they´re codes for buyers and sellers, generally shorter code

so curious about the constant sale of small number of shares all day - sales generally between 5 and 16 shares, even shares being sold in quantities that would not even justify the cost of sales - instances of single shares being sold. Constant drip all day. Curious.

As long as we end the day up even if only a tad that will still be good, keep us going in the right direction and put the boot on the other foot as far as the shorters are concerned. 10% up would be far better of course :-)

I would have thought Insmarsat's drop is an overreaction to a decent result, but I'm sure your quite right has probably not helped here today Paleje

Inmarsat's share price dropped over 12% today in spite of being profitable. Reason was Q4 and Q1 revenues slipped, the company say it a blip and confident of getting back on track. Nevertheless, bound to have some knock-on effect, hopefully only short term.

Been holding since Coface et al decided to support Hylas 2. Been buying small amounts regularly since then and will continue to do so.

My take on this year is that there may well be an uplift on announcement of successful completion of in-orbit tests and any contracts/ options taken up. But we may drift again until near the yearend. Then I suspect the real price action will start to take place. This is when 1) maybe we will see the first results that contain some revenue contribution from Hylas 1 and/or 2) Avanti moves off the Aim. So quite happy to accumulate further this year in the expectation that it will be in the 2012/2013 timeframe when the real earning potential starts too become evident.

I assume it is still a battle with the shorters which is pretty much holding us back still. I suppose until we have the in service RNS and maybe some more contract wins that will be the case. On RNS of in service I'm quite sure we will be off so now is the time to buy/add not then.

The question is will we break 550p today ! Perhaps as copies of Techinvest start arriving in peoples mail boxes that will encourage new investors not wanting to miss out on the long term prospects of growth and good profits in the future.

Yep smart money would be buying now.....and I have to admit it would have been smarter to have sold at 700p and be buying back now but hindsight is a fine thing. Pleased I found funds to add down here.

Satellite operator Inmarsat this morning reported profit before tax of $333.5m for the year to end-December 2010, up 69.4% from $196.9m in the previous year. A final dividend of 22.69 cents will be paid, up 10%.

Good business to be in!!

greengiant I built a house close to Bourdeilles near Brantome a couple of years ago lovely area not far from Perigueux, stayed at des Griffons a few times whilst building, small world, most rural areas and small towns arn't even on main drains let alone broadband
