taken from Red Hot Penny shares email a couple of weeks ago - not a chance in hell I will be selling for peanuts.

"More good news on AVANTI COMMUNICATIONS (AVN)! Avanti has flown to a new high and breached my 650p buy limit, following encouraging comments from two other satellite operators, Inmarsat and Hughes Communications (which is a customer of Avanti).

My immediate target is £10. But that may not represent the end of the story because in my view the shares have the potential to fly much higher than that."

Yes I read that Smarm which of course is excellent news but I would have thought they will have further testing/setting up to do before they can announce that the satellite is fully operational. I don't expect problems as I'm quite sure thorough testing was carried out of course prior to launch. I'm sure we will have complete update by RNS on Monday

Next job is to fire the satellites LAM to place the satellite into geostationary orbit ... this happens in 3 phases with the first phase scheduled for the early hours of Sunday morning

Smarm.2vdm.

Lets look at the positives,we all picked the right company we just choose slightly different ways of playing it.

If it goes as expected we will all make money.

GLT you both.

The time for 'fireworks' was last night and fortunately, there were none!

Need to actually see if it works though yet.
I don't expect fireworks until it's proven to be functioning properly.

It could be space debris at this point.

What a fantastic launch. All we need now is the confirmation that the satelite works. I am not sure if we get that on monday 7am or whether there is a delay into January as briefly mentioned in the launch coverage if I understood it properly about reaching its final orbit height and position. Anybody any comments?

Some traders were certainly buying last week.
When it was around 620p I suggested putting in a limit-buy order at £6 and I added 1,500 shares that way.

backmarker,
Note that I did not say £9 on Monday. I said £9 next week (although it could be Monday).
