20/12/2023 22:25 | I would reiterate my point from a few days ago that even at 300p, each of the 38m monthly users is worth only $1.65 for an acquirer. That seems very very cheap to me. Customer acquisition costs in E-commerce are said to be about $70, does anyone know what a typical CAC is for podcasting? Some simple maths suggests that each user's individual download podcasts have a revenue opp of around $0.40 each or $15 a year per customer. Of course not all ad inventories are filled, and Audioboom don't get all of that money, the creator gets a big chunk. But still, the contrast with a $1.60 CAC is very stark. 20/12/2023 17:45 | Only 4 full trading sessions before the New Year and it’s going be interesting to see positions taken in preparation for the Q4 results and 2024 forecast. | amelio
20/12/2023 16:15 | Encouraging intraday recovery on decent volume. Looks like it was just a temporary blip as some people offloaded/derisked, touch wood. | cyberbub
20/12/2023 16:13 | Cracking recovering. Any sign of weakness being snaffled. Perhaps something is brewing. | amelio
20/12/2023 15:49 | NT only to buy now, none left at 290p | festario
20/12/2023 14:37 | Very encouraging to see buyers pouncing on the smallest of dips in this uptrend.Almost two months now since Tobin last bought shares. | parob
20/12/2023 11:17 | Someone happy to dump a 25k trade, possibly at a psychological 100% profit from 140p. No problem at all, for anyone who can see what Boom have, and isn't a trader. Lets more buyers in too. | cyberbub
20/12/2023 11:01 | Paying over the offer, maybe this pullback helped a few shorts cover their positions. | amelio
20/12/2023 10:49 | Yes anyone panic selling there might not be able to buy them back at the same price or less. They will also be gutted should a big premium takeover happen next year. Each to their own but I'm holding onto these very tightly. | parob
20/12/2023 10:43 | That sucked a few out. Churn and liquidity is necessary. By mid Q1 £3 will be a distant memory imo. | amelio
20/12/2023 10:01 | Holding 95k but I’ll increase my position where I can when the opportunity presents itself. | amelio
20/12/2023 09:59 | Can’t buy a dime | amelio
20/12/2023 09:55 | Pretty obvious those that got in the lows will take some out and now not bothered about the sly deramps lol. Didn't break 300 so was expected. | sharebag01
20/12/2023 09:41 | Just sold a few have ya haha | amelio
20/12/2023 09:40 | Profit taking could drive this back below 250 before the next leg up Pullback is always healthy in the long run | hamidahamida
20/12/2023 07:38 | Another random oddball onto the filter list... | cyberbub
20/12/2023 03:42 | You absolute melt. | the modeller
20/12/2023 03:40 | " .. and £2m invested by Tobin is as strong a signal as any."Who are you, the Geoff Bell of investing? | the modeller
19/12/2023 22:10 | Wooty - following the money certainly an excellent strategy and £2m invested by Tobin is as strong a signal as any. With regards a London-listed company chairperson investing such a huge amount, keep an eye out for ADVT which re-lists on Jan 10th after an RTO suspension. Vin Murria invested a whopping £17.5 million of her own cash at 100p in this. She has 10-bagged her 2 previous listed vehicles and ADVT is very much a case of rinse and repeat. Apologies for O/T. —— Wooty0119 Dec '23 - 20:22 - 7195 of 7200 Much has been said about the motives of his purchases, but nothing can be negative if he’s put £2m cash into buying shares. Is there any other London quoted company who’s chairman has stumped up such an amount ? | cf456
19/12/2023 21:57 | Thanks cyberbub. Clearly Tobin must see value significantly above the current price given so many purchases in 2022 above 1000p and all the way up to 1890p. Interesting that his average from late 2020 was 437p. Plenty of upside from where the shares are today just to get to Tobin’s average buy price over the past 3 years. | cf456
19/12/2023 21:15 | Is there due diligence taking place by a potential acquirer, is there a covering of a naked short going on, who knows but it feels like there’s something occurring is the background that’s driving the share price imo more than just retail punters taking positions. | amelio
19/12/2023 21:06 | Good point Wooty. I haven't been involved as long as many people on this board, but I'm aware that Candy and Tobin have supported the company over the years, despite the former's rancorous dispute with Bonnier etc. | cyberbub
19/12/2023 20:25 | Sorry a final post. We should never forget that Tobin and Candy supported the company with the cash support for the podcast guarantees. The facility was £4m. They were paid a market interest rate and issued some warrants. Kept the company going during difficult times. | wooty01
19/12/2023 20:23 | Candy's average will be higher as he first entered at £2.90 (2.9p). | wooty01 |
