Seems all is not well with MEN (Molecular Energies). Peter Levine seems somewhat persona non grata just now.

My post #663 appears justified now I believe.

Summary of the note available without subscription.

'We have undertaken a scenario analysis of project funding options for ATOME. Our new backstop valuation based on topco equity funding at the level of the last equity raise gives protection at 64p. A more efficient solution of project sales at FID gives 200p but an even more efficient farm down model gives 252p. Financial close on Villeta this year could be a catalyst for these higher valuations. All options offer strong value at today’s share price and show that ATOME has optionality in financin...'

There is a research note out today from Longspur you may have to subscribe it talks about all possible funding solutions in truth I am not sure what to make of it all. To subscribe through research tree is not expensive

You need to do some more research. It’s all in the RNSs what the small electrolyser was for and the fact they have moved away from that part of the business to concentrate on their bigger picture which needs a hell of a lot more infrastructure and a lot of money which they are on with raising?

masergt: you paint a true picture I believe.

I can only comment on ATOM as that is where my minor investment lies. I fully understand the power aspect obtained inexpensively as a result of unised power from the hydro generation on the river.

But to make anything of that requires an electroyser. One was on order from some company who had a 'relationship' with ATOM but if I recall correctly, were unable to actually produce the goods either in time or with sufficient power. The order was terminated.

I'm unsure if a new electroyser is ordered, yet to be ordered or on it's way via the 'slowboat' to China avoiding the Red Sea of course.

This is the announcement I feel the company should make and without that electroyser all Mr Levine and his son have acquired is a part of a waterfall with electricity generating potential.

Peter: if you are reading this check out this link:

Let us know which of the top electrolyser manufacturers appeals to you and give us some dates.

As I've said a week or so ago, until we get more info. this share price will simply fade downwards.

PL sold (gave away?) US interests. Paraguay TKO. Argentina 'sold' to himself and now generating cash. Debt swaps, interest free loan repayments, another million discounted ATOM shares, more PI dilution. Whenever a company changes its name, consolidates its sharebase, spins out a subsid and generally admits its old business plans on which over £300m was raised and lost over the years has run its course so we're off in various different directions now, the wheels usually drop off. Same management, big ideas, big investments, grandiose schemes in unstable jurisdictions, rinse and repeat. What could possibly go wrong?

Deadlines missed. Announced announcements not announced - if you follow me. Market clearly mistrustful. Far more clarity needed across the whole group.

Peter Levine has kindly vindicated my concern I posted in #663.

I'm sorely tempted to 'phone

ATOME PLC
Nikita Levine, Investor Relations +44 (0) 113 337 2210

and ask if I coule buy 1000 shares at 50p.

I fail to understand how an unnamed 'long-standing, supportive, institutional investor' can bag a million shares at a discount to that we mere mortals must pay. Whilst the RNS states "There is no intention to issue further shares at the said price." this does not preclude the intention to issue more at a different price (even lower possibly) or indeed to change their intent at any point.

That is why I'm out (well, technically I was never in other than three small g'kid holdings totalling 871 shares).

the MEN thread carries similar reports.

I have been watching ATOM for 18 months now. I'm less inclined to invest in ATOME because of Peter Levine.

I came across this RNS (link below) and thought it may be relevant to post here. Apologies if you've seen this before.

MC,

Maybe use "Parental guide"?

I think after giving all a laugh, we tend to quote ticker on bb.

Peter Levine is the boss of both outfits.

No position but certainly on the watch list.

PS: Note "marketscreener.com", up to date company data there.

Do not be afraid to ask questions YLD.

cheers

OK. Got it now. Thanks AiE. Did you google MEN Holding Dake? ;-)

Peter Levine. I recall reading something about him having gifted some shares (in either ATOM or MEN) to a trust fund that is controlled by his family. Also, another person (female) has passed across my screen at some point - name also Levine.

I think I'll sit on the sidelines and watch for a while and see how low ATOM share price drops; it's graph is looking decidely like that of MEN now you've pointed me in that direction.

Mucho Appreciado.

Dake1: I'm convinced you have interesting things to say and impart to us (lesser mortals). Unfortunately I cannot understand anything of post #652.

Worryingly, when I google MEN Holding I see lots of piccy's of men holding each others hands.

I'd appreciate it if you could explain a little clearer for me.

Thanks in advance.

MEN holding is collateral against PL debits owed by MEN I believe. He is now recieving monies out of Argentina. I would like to see this holding distributed amongst shareholders at some point rather than monies ploughed into any new PL VENTURES

Hi Dud,
I see this as a long-long shot. My youngest g'child is just two and he has the largest holding of the three of them. But he has more years than the 17 year old to see this stock grow once production approaches.

The 'drift' downwards has started this morning. Yesterday, a £3k punt would have given me 5724 shares in my SIPP and today, 5761 shares.

The SIPP somewhat negates any benefit that I may have derived from the EIS status. I take your point about wishing to sell down but £3k-5k is a modest investment I feel, and worth the risk.

The question is, when to jump in and commit.
