29/2/2024 14:07 | So it does seem that Schroders additional last purchase was in the open market. Any thoughts on the following 01/01/24 - 16/02/24 a fall from 74 to 50 volume 1.5m approx 19/02/24 - 28/02/24 static 1.8m volume approx 1.5m bought OVER 4% OF COMPANY Stock down 3% on 40,000 running average 50% buys No RNS FOR MAJOR DISPOSAL | dake1
27/2/2024 15:23 | Yes it’s puzzling. Agree, it’s unlikely to be from retail sales and can’t be directors; as many participated in the placing. As I said , probably just overthinking, but one of my other grandkids shares;RBW, is just as confusing! Just glad 80% Of my holdings are in boring old income stocks. | bbd2
27/2/2024 15:08 | bbd2: likewise; Grandkids. I see this as a long-term investment but I am very concerned about the rate of progress. I've stated this a few times over the past six months on this thread. The piddling amount my three grandkids hold would hardly be worth selling. I'm sure other investors hold larger amounts; but Scroders have bought quite a chunk and I doubt very much that such has originated from the multiple sales of small/medium holders. I may be that some of the directors have sold some part of their holding. But, if it is from a 'placing' why were the existing shareholders not first offered the chance to buy more of that placing before it went on 'open' sale? Could there be yet mnore of these 'placings', 'sales', miraculous purchases in the pipeline. If so, it strikes me that my grandkids share of the company reduces with each such event. And that could explain why the share price is down. Like I have said previously, I am far from knowledgeable in these matters. But it appears to me that if a company has one share and is considered to be worth £1 then that share is worth £1. If the board decide to 'sell' another three shares then each of the four will be worth 25pence. If those three new shares are sold at 50pence each then it appears a magical way to bring more cash into the business without any real asset increase. I'm hoping somebody can provide a better explanation and hence correct me. | mcunliffe1
27/2/2024 14:51 | They have picked up over 6% of the company. Some must have been from the placing but where have the rest come from; if not an additional placing. Who would be selling at this juncture. Probably just overthinking. This has always been a long term play for me; in fact not for me, but the grandkids. | bbd2
27/2/2024 14:27 | Ok firstly in some respects this is a binary trade. If the components of this potential business cannot be married up without sufficient daylight then of course the trade doesn't work. So the stock value plummets, if however as the board has strongly (very) suggested that there is more than sufficient daylight then the value of the stock goes in my opinion to £1.50 ++. Everything said via RNS and video would lead you to believe that the deal works. the company is trying to 1. Lock in the best premium for duration (25??) years.2 Look for counterparties to also want participation in stage 2 and 3. If one was cynical given the current placement one might think that the only way staff could get involved in increasing their exposure to the company was via this process as I believe but am not sure that given current and expected news flow expected would under regulation prohibit staff transactions. I believe that Schroders has bought this stock on the open market as otherwise would Atome not have an obligation to issue an RNS re the placement. This trade either works or doesn't work nobody is going to be able to buy this company on the cheap trust me. For what it is worth I believe strongly that your patience will be rewarded. Please let me know your thoughts | dake1
27/2/2024 13:54 | Perhaps Schroders have received an additional placement allocation at the discretion of the board, as indicated in the placing RNS. There is so much potential here I am just concerned that there maybe someone interested in acquiring it on the cheap. | bbd2
27/2/2024 13:29 | what do you mean? | dake1
27/2/2024 12:28 | So another increase by Schroders and the share price still languishes. Are we confident that this is just a longterm investment or is there some other reason perhaps. Hmmm. | bbd2
21/2/2024 20:48 | "Great, so in sticky hands! No need to worry about dilution." Time stamped | dimpkins
21/2/2024 19:43 | So driven down to enable a large chunk to be picked up and now watch it climb back up? No wonder our stock exchange is so out of favour and a laughing stock internationally. Still Hunt will fix it with a new ISA offering rather than regulate the market properly! lol Rant over. | bbd2
21/2/2024 18:50 | Great news re Schroders, but not at all reflected in the share price | barony
