28/3/2012 10:10 | loaf, no need of leaks. Their exposure to the cost of diesel has been documented in an RNS in the past (forgive me not locating which), and the price of oil and the price of thermal coal and the mild winter just passed are all in the public domain. Now might even be a buying opportunity: I've got other shares I'm more interested in so I'm not buying, but I certainly wouldn't sell at this level. Nigel Martin | gnnmartin
28/3/2012 07:17 | Looks like a bit of a leaky ship over the past few days! I bet our new share holder is happy with his investment. Just wish I hadn't followed him in! | loafofbread
26/3/2012 15:05 | They are caught between a falling price for thermal coal and a rising price for diesel. | gnnmartin
29/2/2012 09:35 | The next thing we'll here from them is that the price of coal is falling and that they can't make any money because all their fixed contracts have expired!. | gfrae
29/2/2012 08:40 | What is wrong with this company?.Why did they keep talking about their fixed contracts as if they were the reason for their losses, when now ,as they are ending they still can't make any money?. | gfrae
14/2/2012 09:50 | Another bit of good news! Might have to go and lie down. | loafofbread
07/2/2012 14:53 | Peter Gyllenhammer. Top activist investor now has 20%+ Good following and well connected so watch this space. Have added today on the hope he goes all the way to 29.9% and something happens! Good news at last and should get some decent press. | loafofbread
07/2/2012 09:39 | Confirmation Alchemy sold out. Who is the lucky buyer. In there for the extra 11MT going forward? | loafofbread
06/2/2012 19:14 | Looks like Alchemy Partners have had enough? Close to 15% of the company sold at a knock down price today. Really hope the buyer has some plans for us. | loafofbread
27/1/2012 14:24 | more poor results, this company seems to be a poor shape, and not even heading in the right direction any time soon. | armagan
24/1/2012 14:41 | Notice of Preliminary Results ATH Resources plc, one of the UK's largest coal producers, advises that it will be announcing its Preliminary Results for the year ended 2 October 2011 on Thursday, 26 January 2012. An analyst briefing given by David Port (Executive Chairman), Alistair Black (Chief Executive) and Andrew Weatherstone (Group Finance Director) will be held at 9.30 am on Thursday, 26 January 2012 at Abchurch Communications Ltd, 16th Floor, 125 Old Broad Street, EC2N 1AR. | totally banjo
05/1/2012 11:21 | It is not easy to see what is going on. ATH announced in October that the Preliminary results would come out on 7 December , but on that date something called an Update came out with basic details but no way a proper prelim , and no indication of when the formal year end figures would come out. The prelims came out on Dec 6 2010 and the AGM was on Jan 18 last year, so they are way off schedule. I wonder if they are quietly talking deals again or have some bad news in the pipeline? I see Cavendish Asset Management bought another 300000 shares. I also saw the deal to get better prices against one of their legacy contracts , but last time this happened it turned out that the equivalent tonnage on the legacy contract had been put back.In other words it improved the current figures but would extend the legacy contract prices. Food for thought? GAN | ganthorpe

12/12/2011 10:56 | this company will generate superb cash flow from 2013 onwards - and 2012 will not be too bad before that. with new credit lines stretching well into 2013 the situation is more or less de-risked. as legacy contracts gradually expire - replacing £30/ton with £60/ton on 250-300k tons per year, this company will be seriously profitable - the "automatic" replacement effect being nearer to £10m alone. there was a predator sniffing at the 60-70p level earlier this year - another approach looks more likely than anything. | baner
08/12/2011 21:03 | Looks pretty positive for the future, that's the way I read it. | totally banjo
