i will not be surprised if there is a bid

watch out for the names of previous directors being involved. they should know the business and got the regeneration company for a song.
when is that business to be paid for?

Update meetings with the large holders, I was hoping they might get in front of some new institutions..

Yes some Director buying would be appreciated...

Also let us hope institutions taking a fresh view like the look of the future, management are doing meetings..

Now we know why ex boss sold,at least F.D. didn't have the gall to follow suit.

Sells at 51.7 max 25k, buys 52.3 max 10k.

Lets hope the new bloke puts his hand in his pocket for a worthwhile amount.

If it was all bad they would have cancelled the divi like last time. At least they have some confidence in their forcasts!

Anyone know how much production is owed on these legacy contracts?

I don't think Tom comes out of this smelling of roses. Anyone remember is massive sale a few weeks back?

About time the new board thought about their share holders for once.

Adverse winter means that when wet/snow not easy to open cast operate...

Coal I am afraid is still crucial to the UK the next contracts will see vastly improved prices and massive operational gearing to the upside..

Reserves are not an issue and generally get upgraded..

I have topped up at 52.3p..

It is vulnerable to a takeover..

space:> Been having a look but cannot see a reason to buy - Reserves are approx 4 years of production - where do they go when they are all used up?

Also forecast dividends by house broker (if I read correctly) are only 6.3/6.5/6.5 for 2010 to 2012. Other houses are lower. Initial yield could be seen to support the price but what happens when reserves run out?

OK I know onerous contracts will start expiring in the next 18 months but coal fired stations are being phased out under EU regulations. I am confused.

A very mixed report. Long term seems fine, but the write down does significantly impact current figures. The greatest mystery to me is how the adverse winter impacted sales - I would have expected it to simply increase sales from an established stockpile.

I feel that the share price dip is an over-reaction, but the danger here is that stop-losses might be triggered, taking us below 50p even.

Looking at trades I speculate that all those "sells" are buys and MM's have a massive institution sell to clear . Any views ?

Oh well.

Bad bits and good bits.

Lets guess which ones will win the day?

But reserves at all time high/production recovering/prices rising/new contracts to be signed..

The only negative for some maybe the dividend but that is only reduced to fund development..

Still a big supporter of the company..

Excellent value remains..

Why Hargreves or someone else don't make a move on us is beyond me.

Hargreves could use their inflated share price in a all share bid, no question about it.

It has been mildly baffling whilst all other resource stocks have gone through the roof, we have gone the other way...hopefully patience will pay..

Indeed, let us hope the trading update is suitably upbeat to clear the way over 70p..
