more blue to come IMO, this continues to look "odd" pricing, at least I suppose until we get the next update and see how well/badly it is doing!!! GLA

As husbod highlights, I fancy some holders are dipping out here to have a punt on the SOLG story. They'll be back. Looking forward to the Q3 results in the meantime.

Hah nothing like an exaggeration to prompt memory recall.I hold my hand up, the original wager was indeed one bottle of decent Spanish red. I turned it into a case as a penalty for non payment. Will look at your suggestion although the Lebanese one looks interesting. Seem to recall Lebanese Gold was quite popular at uni but I don't think it was a wine.Very much keeping my eye on ATYM now.

Absolute bargain at this price. I'm sure this will bounce back up.

My understanding was a 'bottle' of Rioja...will gladly settle some time...would something like this do...?

(Personally I'm more Ribera del Duero and of course the Lebanese great, Chateau Muser)

Mists of time rouge, when we were young. It's my feminine side coming out, I never forget. Mind you it was an unfair wager - I was bound to win so I've written it off as unenforceable. Might be slightly different now. We will be generating cash with nothing to do with it unless we have another development opportunity, Touro or elsewhere, I am sure they must be looking around, in which case, subject to the court's definition of excess cash they might as well give some of it it to Astor and the rest to shareholders.

Yes, thanks for the "nudge" on Solg, RP: October looks to be very exciting: far in excess of my original hopes for a 50% premium buyout by BHP in the 35/40p region.

On the POC here, it is worth remembering that since production started, there was only a brief period (Aug 17 to July 18) and again for the 3 months Feb, Mar and April 2019, when POC has been as good as the last 3 months.

I still stand by my thoughts when I re entered ATYM that POC long term is going to be high during the period that matters to ATYM: every governmental man and his dog are talking about their reborn economies in new green (and copper hungry) technology.

Hi Rouge - beats me by a considerable margin. Friend of mine whos pretty shrewd had been in it for 7 years and has accumulated 1m.Very much hope ATYM recovers if only because this is one of the most civilised threads on ADVFN and it would be a pleasure to be debating things again.Which reminds me you still owe me that case of quality Riojas on that dividend bet. Should be able to afford it given the SOLG profits.

No doubt the solar energy project will keep AL engaged: presumably, it could be the core of a new business?

They do seem to be thinking outside the box, as per the interims:

"New group entity

On 16 June 2020 the Group established a new company in Cyprus under the name of Atalaya Financing, Limited. The activity of the new company is financing."

Are we to be the new Trafigura or is this the latest wheeze to upset Astor?

Touro is a bit of a mystery: again, per the interims

"On 7 February 2020, the formal communication from the Xunta de Galicia was published in Galicia's official journal. In the meantime, the Company along with its advisers, is evaluating potential next steps for the Project, which could include an appeal of the decision made by the Xunta de Galicia, and/or the clarification of the questions raised by the reports."

Having met AL (and in a confrontational capacity over the Trafigura equity raise) I would be surprised if he did not go the latter route and seek to address the concerns. His engineering approach is always to find a solution and he does apply that in other spheres, such as finance. I would suggest that Trafigura, rather than AL have been behind the continued stand off with Astor.

We certainly will have had a good quarter with the expanded capacity and current POC

Aye Husbod..."little punt"...?

We have 1.2 million between us...up 80% so far...holding long and strong...

Waiting to unload a chunk into GPM before end November...

Meanwhile, ATYM is crazy cheap...between us we've bought almost 12,000 this morning with no difficulty at an average price comfortably below 151p...

Plenty of liquidity...nobody buying...

Has everybody forgotten the golden outlook for copper...it only fell on Trump's illness and the Chinese holiday...

AIMHO as usual...

#Husbod, I have my core holding tucked away in the bottom drawer, the fundamentals are robust here, the volume as #VISH65 points out is woeful and the bid drops on each sell but we have seen before that the volume can and has take off and the share price turn around..

I am a buyer up to the Q3 results which I believe will be solid and potentially double the profitability of Q2..

We will soon see the numbers around 17th.. :o)

Greetings LLB Your analysis is spot on but a one mine company in Spain with its expansion at Touro in question and the Astor situation being contentious is not one that gets the juices running.I've been topping up in Rouges little punt namely Solgold which is much more exciting and has much greater potential resource and also has bid potential to keep one interested. And has also been going up in the last week or so just as we slide ever downwards here.I now only have a modest holding here but am keeping an eye on it. Positive developments on Touro could change matters and could also obviate the possibility of our ceo looking for new challenges which I think is a real danger if he had to simply monitor the existing mine and its expansion - any reasonably competent ceo could do that I reckon.

Agreed. The issue being the liquidity of the shares - or lack of ! The volume on the fall is pitiful and if someone wants to buy in volume these kind of moves are inevitable. Take out the stop losses etc....

If Q3 is anything like we hope then investors will be able to 'speculate' on the financial results out in November so it may well move sharply the other way then

I just assume that the somewhat inexplicable fall in the share price is the usual of our "ever-helpful" MMs getting set up for a decent tranche of "mates' rates" deals.

#Husbod, hugely frustrating for the PI, but we know results are inbound in 2 weeks and the fundamentals for the company have never looked so good for Copper price, tonnes produced, plant development, overall progress refinement and cash.., with a drilling report due too, it could be an II fund selling down for whatever reason they have and just drip drip drip every day, perhaps we will see a TR1 printed sometime soon..

The EV / green revolution is not going to do anything but build momentum going forward and Copper to plug it all together is essential..
