#Gekks, incredibly frustrating, but take some comfort in the fact we have just closed out our best quarter ever for Tonnes produced, and EBITDA, the AISC should also start to fall as the fixed costs are divisible by more lbs produced, about to be reported in just 2 weeks time near the 17th..

I'm a buyer on Monday if it touches 150p, but with Copper reversing it might not come, we know the volume here can take off which it has before then it turns..!

To hit bottom end of the 55-58KT guidance leaves Q3 and Q4 with 14,000 tonnes each, with 1500 upside for mid range to come..

2020-H1 EBITDA was EURO 22M, Q3 and Q4 will be the same each.. :o)

An updated resources and reserves statement is expected during Q3 2020 for the Cerro Colorado pit, this has slipped and could be an RNS any day..

It's most depressing - CU price seems to have no effect when rising but plenty when falling

Does ATYM know that Copper has rebounded... :o), the share price dripping down daily on such low volume too, some stale holders throwing the towel in just as the company has turned its 1st and best ever years results scaled up..Seems a short sighted strategy with our Q3 update in 2 weeks, and we know roughly the numbers...

Interesting comment husbod: if ATYM can deliver north of $20m EBITDA then at c.$80m p.a. if copper prices hold up well, then surely that is not a bad result? If LLB's figures are correct? Should be more supportive of a c.$250m market cap....Touro I agree needs to be given the thumbs up to help sentiment....DYOR

Ot- good day for Solg rouge.Poor old ATYM needs some big positive news to get it out of this rut.Reckon peeps have just lost interest. I can't see it moving much just on copper prices. That comment was designed to be proved wrong but unless we get Touro going I'm keeping to my current modest holding.

July LME Copper USD 2.88/lb
August LME Copper USD 2.95/lb
September LME Copper USD 3.045/lb
Q3 Copper 2.96/lb

AISC 2.25/lb
Margin 0.71/lb (QPs dependant)
15,000 Tonnes
USD 24M EBITDA
(21.5M EURO)
c7M EURO bottom line

Our Q3 update around 17th October.., and hopefully whoever is selling down will clear soon, with such low volumes it does not take much to move the bid..

Checking the holdings on MorningStar, looks like two of the Instis have sold off about 248,000 shares during September. Solventis and Renta.

I'm sure ATYM said they would release the latest resource update by the end of Q3 - so that would mean an RNS tomorrow then? We haven't had one for quite a while and there seems to have been lots of drilling campaigns ongoing to prove up additional reserves.

I saw this article that mentions a cost of over €30m for ATYM to build the 50mw solar farm. Interestingly, electricity accounts for 70% of atalaya's carbon footprint.https://www.ecoticias.com/energias-renovables/205082/Atalaya-construira-primera-gran-planta-solar-para-mina#

Glad to be back in here after recent share purchaess. Great company,a quality CEO and one of the best posting threads on ADVFN

Worth noting from the July 2018 Technical report update on Rio Tinto that the production schedule (page 22.2) shows 2021 being the peak year of the project based on known reserves at the time. CU is the highest at 0.52% and AISC drops to $1.91 and cash cost to $1.78. Annual free cashflow is the also the highest.

However... 2022 shows a drop off in grade to 0.42% together with rising cash costs. From there on in it becomes more challenging with grade falling below 0.4%. I also noted cost savings through continual improvement already built in to the plan.

My point being the solar initiative ( as good it is) is best not viewed as a 'bonus' to the bottom line but a necessary ( and planned) action as the project gets more challenging.

Hopefully reserve upgrades will provide a 'bonus' in due course and if the Cu price does what we hope it will that alleviate some of the other challenges and keep the market impressed.

#Sithuk, that is more than I was expecting, but still a good step towards energy independence, and reduced AISC over time..

Our power bills from the grid must be really ugly, but removing that cost after break even is a long term winner... :o)

£40m capex for a 50MW solar plant?i

#Sithuk, it is a smart move to work towards energy independence, permitting will not be in the bag for a year though, then funding (from cash) and building it..

By which time we will, or should have fresh guidance on excess cash to pay over to Astor, or have all the cash needed to wipe out that debt...?

An acre of solar panels and the necessary monitoring / management systems is not a big CAPEX when compared to scaling up production..

The full capacity of the Solar Project will be used for self-consumption.Proyecto Riotinto is located in an area with a natural abundance of sunlight which is conducive to solar power generation. Technical studies carried out by a third party during the past months have indicated that, in addition to making a significant contribution to reduce carbon emissions, the Solar Project is economically viable and could potentially contribute to reducing Proyecto Riotinto's operating costs. The decision to pursue the Solar Project is in line with Atalaya's ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and to continue to have a positive impact on the people, environment and society surrounding the mine.During the permitting period, the Company will evaluate the various financing options that are being proposed by industry players in Spain.Subject to completing the permitting process and securing financing, construction is targeted to commence by mid-2021.Alberto Lavandeira, CEO, commented:"We are pleased to be committing to this solar initiative which will be one of the largest projects of renewable self-consumption in the industry. This is only a first step in achieving our long-term sustainability goals, but one that will have a positive and near term impact on Proyecto Riotinto."Contacts:Elisabeth Cowell / Adam Lloyd / + 44 20 3757 Newgate Communications Tom Carnegie 6880 +44 20 3170 4C Communications Carina Corbett 7973 ----------------------------------- ------------- Canaccord Genuity (NOMAD and Joint Henry Fitzgerald-O'Connor / James +44 20 7523 Broker) Asensio 8000 ----------------------------------- ------------- BMO Capital Markets Tom Rider / Michael Rechsteiner +44 20 7236 (Joint Broker) / Neil Elliot 1010 ----------------------------------- ------------- Peel Hunt LLP +44 20 7418 (Joint Broker) Ross Allister / David McKeown 8900 ----------------------------------- ------------- About Atalaya Mining PlcAtalaya is an AIM and TSX-listed mining and development group which produces copper concentrates and silver by-product at its wholly owned Proyecto Riotinto site in southwest Spain.
