15/5/2017 14:36 | Lango - surely you don't believe lucky punter is our mystery man. | poleaxe
15/5/2017 14:19 | These facts have a major impact on copper... hxxps://www.platts.c And its hit BHP who "cut its guidance for full-year copper output by 17% to a range of 1.33mln to 1.36mln tonnes following a six-week strike at the Escondida mine, the world's biggest copper mine, that ended in late March" And RIO..."In 2017, Rio Tinto’s expected share of mined copper production has been revised to between 500 and 550 thousand tonnes (previously 525 to 665 thousand tonnes), as a result of industrial action at Escondida and the curtailment of production at Grasberg. Refined copper production guidance remains unchanged at 185 to 225 thousand tonnes." But also, Chilean silver production in the first quarter was down a stunning 26%... hxxp://silverseek.co Now what's significant about this is that silver is often produced as a by-product of copper mining.... Finally, surely the China "One Road One Belt" infrastructure plans, with an already committed $78 billion, must have an effect on sentiment at the very least... AIMHO as usual... | rougepierre
15/5/2017 13:55 | Mr 5,000 - or I suppose you mean the numbered accounts in Gozo. The ramper's graveyard. | langostino
15/5/2017 12:49 | Surely the current controversy over dirty diesel will accelerate the demand as well...especially from environmentalists who bought diesel because they were conned into believing that it was cleaner...!!! Meanwhile, steady buying today...and no Mr 5,000 yet....yet.... | rougepierre
15/5/2017 12:43 | Has anyone told Toyota about this development? These cars will need solar panels on the roof in China and India to do one days driving, bwdik. | acamas
15/5/2017 12:20 | All those self driving electric trucks running China's new silk road! All that copper... | waterloo01
15/5/2017 12:12 | I see that some genius in the States reckons there will be no fossil fuelled cars being built in 8 years time. I'm sure the research wasn't sponsored by Tesla/Mr Monk. So it's only another 8 years before all cars will be run on electrics etc so we LTHs now know that it will only be another 8 years before our share price starts to rocket. Actually, it will be very interesting to see how long it takes for electric vehicles to take the majority market share. | husbod
15/5/2017 11:38 | Yes Acamas, a 204p average I can work with short term, longer term adding in Touro and $3.00 Copper and we should be well in the £3/4 area, but 1 step at a time here, and 1st results on the board, a maiden profit reported is another milestone.. Trying to make any sense of the COMEX/LME/Shanghai bonded warehouses is just hopeless, with so many smoke and mirrors at play.. so stick to the logical fundamentals of ever increasing world usage, ever greener, added to big infrastructure programs and decreasing LOM's/grades and lack of investment in new deposits can only mean 1 thing long term for Copper.. Another 3-4 years out from here, and we can see who was right/wrong..! | laurence llewelyn binliner
15/5/2017 08:07 | llb, Brokers forecasts if you drop the highest and the lowest and take the average of the other four we arrive at a price of 204p. That will do for me as an expected target for now | acamas
14/5/2017 20:04 | So EU is on stabler political ground and finally growing, the US consumer is healthy and Trump tax cuts/spending still to come, India remains on a steady growth curve and China is doing some massive infrastructure spending, add in supply disruption and supply curve projections and copper fundamentals look good to me. | waterloo01
14/5/2017 11:10 | Here's a reminder of what our broker notes valuations: BMO Capital Markets Alexander Pearce Outperform 190p Canaccord Genuity Tim Huff Buy 210p Cantor Fitzgerald Asa Bridle Buy 239p FinnCap Martin Potts Buy 195p Mirabaud Nikolas Toleris Buy 175p Peel Hunt Peter Mallin-Jones Buy 220p Another week closer to our Q1 financials, our MAIDEN profit announcement, and we're on the map.. :o) With China and Trumps infrastructure programs that should keep every one busy for at least 10 years, and use a lot of Copper in power distribution alone for starters.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
14/5/2017 10:15 | Thanks bewise. Here's the link. China invests $124bn in Belt and Road global trade project - | iankn73
14/5/2017 10:01 | China Invests $124 billion in belt and road global trade project......which will need copper :) | bewise2
12/5/2017 21:28 | To - none of us know why Mr 5k is selling, most of us thing he must be mad, under researched in atym, desperate for cash, knows some unpleasant news wr don't, or deluded. The FACT is none us know. A POSSIBLE reason could be a potential bidder trying to keep the price low, however this theory has less credabilty than the twin towers being a CIA & FBI which up. In all of two years of AL presenting to institutions, how many have taken a significant stake? - point made. As I said before, I am greatful for these buying opportunities and the fact is those 5k's are being happily moped up. | mds2028
12/5/2017 18:18 | CuFe...even you're intelligent enough to work out that the 'facts' I'm referring to don't relate to the debate about Mr 5,000...I'm talking about the 98% of my other posts that have facts in them, including to support opinions... Keep up the consistently good work... | rougepierre
12/5/2017 17:55 | I spoke with Alberto many weeks back and we discussed the share price and constant selling as well as many other concerns that I had. He seemed to think that it COULD be a small institutional selling with no buyers on the other side. If anyone has concerns why dont you just email him direct. I can forward on his email address if needed, just PM me. He is very approachable and answers questions as best as he can. The overhang cant last forever assuming that is what it is. In the meantime I'm still a buyer in small quantities and will continue to take advantage of these prices. The real game changer as far as I'm concerned will be the Touro copper project as I believe the market hasn't factored in the potential to double the size of the Co. Plenty of news still to come. Have a good weekend all. | iankn73
12/5/2017 17:27 | You're no Oscar Wilde are you . . . | cufes2
12/5/2017 17:11 | Cufe, why do you post here??It says NO idiots!!?? | shortarm
12/5/2017 16:37 | Blah blah blah . . . You have been spouting the same old takeover nonsense for over 18 months now . . . First it was Trafigura and now it's some mysterious dark force just because there is a seller around . . . Stop deluding yourself your posts are based on facts . . . They're really not . . . | cufes2
12/5/2017 16:31 | rp - i think AL's time would be better spent posting on this board and trying to convince pi's why they should be buying these shares. | poleaxe
12/5/2017 16:11 | Because no bid would stand a chance without at least 2 of the Big 4 selling their shares to the predator...and even then it would almost certainly have to be Traf... And again I believe nothing is even half credible below £3 a share... AIMHO as usual... | rougepierre
12/5/2017 15:56 | There’s probably an acceptable conspiracy theory to explain it, but how is whether or not a bid comes along anything to do with the big three? I presume a potential suitor looks at the company, the projects, the progress, the financials, the market cap and the potential and then decides whether to make a bid or not. | rich1e
12/5/2017 15:43 | But the fact is AL IS going round investors on a regular basis...hence the occasionally renewed presentations... Oh and MDS...if the Big 3 wouldn't sell their shares at 300p, why is Mr 5,000 or anyone else selling in the 120s and 130s...i.e. BELOW the placing price... Answers on a postcard please...? | rougepierre
12/5/2017 15:35 | Arcamas - what you suggest, is i believe, near the mark, i cannot understand why rp thinks AL is going round trying to get investors to buy Atalaya shares. I think the seller is a Traf. stooge, probably a CErtain person. | poleaxe
12/5/2017 15:31 | Nail and head come to mind there Acamas | mds2028 |
