Husbod,

Do we have a window of opportunity coming up that would allow The Directors to purchase ATYM shares in the Market? That we can monitor

If the profits are good imminently can they be awarded shares as a bonus?

I vote Harry as the seller.

LLB - it's all very well saying that we're in a closed period hence the directors can't buy. However, either we have been in a non-stop closed period for the last few years or there is a reason why they aren't buying. Could be as simple as they just don't feel the need or haven't got the spare dosh but it could also be that they are aware of something that is going to depress the share price for the time being.
If there IS any director buying then that would be a very definite buy signal even over and above it normally being a reason to buy in my book.
If the 5k seller isn't Orion (as suggested by Van of course)then the next best bet is Hapless Harry.

Charts showing RSI moving below the critical 30 for the first time since August and my old favourite, but out of fashion, Coppock indicator curving down below zero. A sustained change in direction of these would be a good buy signal but I would rather miss the bottom than second-guess when that will happen.

I'm tempted to come back in at these levels. Almost all aim companies have debt and they can still rise if the fundamentals are there. ATYM is now making money and quite a bit of it at that.

My only concern really is the consistent seller and the copper price which needs to remain at these levels or ideally go higher.

despite all the potential positives, at this rate of daily decline we are looking at a £1 by the time the results are released, a spike, then the inevitable retrace until the next news, same old, very disheartening indeed. would love to be proven wrong

I see the copper price has shot back up again $2.63 will we get marked up when market reopens.....

I asked Alberto many questions. Here is one piece of info that I'm willing to share regarding the astor court case. I think that the result of the Astor case has been excellent. And once we receive the final written order we will be able to confirm that it was indeed very good for the company.

My own words now. I hopeful that we will receive the final written order at some point next week, so we may receive news on a number of fronts with financials also around the corner.

Like Waterloo. I do not believe it's Orion that is doing the selling.

#poleaxe, the debt to Astor is €53M, plus a €15.9M additional payment if Copper holds over $3.00/lb..(but this may or may not kick in)..

Other debts we know about are to the mining contractor who had €8M of invoices rolled forward, and deferred into 2017/18..?, but this will be offset by our EU grant of the same figure which is outstanding.

The FY2016 financials to 31.12.2016 will give us a better understanding of where we are now compared to FY2015..

Q1-2017 results are what I really want to see in mid April, as we can forecast FY numbers from these.., the corresponding financials will be mid May..

We should get Astor off our back in 18-24 months best guess pending Copper.., then we can return to the matter of dividends..!, under the original deal we had 6/7 years to pay them off, so this has come forward some..!

My view is that someone / or multiple investors were holding out for the Astor case. We did not get any market reaction from our (small) victory and as a result bets placed for Astor &/or plans to sell on Astor outcome are weighing on stock. Also include a softening in copper price as parts of Indonesia came back online has dampened what little investor appetite there was. Our problem is that were are still not on the map ... we are not yet an Antofagasta. Q1 will hopefully show profits and attract attention. Obviously we have the problem Astor has a claim on profits of over £10m (not sure if this is based at any point or a yearly figure). One thing is for sure .. the mine is operating as it should and there are profits: Alberto is now focusing on expansion. Hopefully we can negotiate a deal with Astor, and it is win win ... All IMO.

LLB, Do you actually know how much debt, including the Astor case, that we are carrying at the moment.

Well, we know that lack of dividends doesn’t stop the share price rising, we know that being Aim listed doesn’t stop the share price rising, we know that the share price doesn’t always go down on news (Astor news 42p-58p), we know that the 5k ‘seller’ doesn’t stop the share price from rising (because he was there at 80p), we know that just because a trade is coloured red it doesn’t make it a sell, we know that just because the share price is in the doldrums and no one is shouting £2 coming soon that it doesn’t mean that no one is stocking up (Majedie 6M on the open market).

Those are the facts, the only assumption that I will make, is that we are seeing the movement of tightly held stock from the long termers to those who don’t want to pay any more than they are forced.

#polaxe, I disagree with you there I'm afraid, profits are very relevant to ATYM, as the more profit we make, the faster we can pay off Astor then we can get our dividends...

I don't have a problem with that, debts needs to be repaid before profits are distributed with investors, it's all part of building a business..

LLB,
It does not matter how much profit Atalaya make, be it 10,20 or 100m the canny investors know that they are not going to get their hands on any of it in the foreseeable future, if ever, and that is the reason they are staying away.

reba,

It is not manipulation the MM's are attempting to bring buyers and sellers into the fray. They drop the price to attract buyers but none come forth. They drop the price again with still no effect and so it will continue until buyers are found. Currently the sellers are on top.

This we find daft because we the followers know that this Company is in better health than it has ever been. Plus Ian has given us the nod and wink from Alberto

We will be in a closed period Husbod, FY2016 financials, and Q1-2017 results are work in progress, now we are operational and reporting quarterly, the directors buying window will be very tight.. that said it would be nice to see some director buying tho'..!

I wasn't expecting to get my final 8th ISA reload for this close to a quid, there's lovely isn't it..!, I'm focussed on the long term fundamentals of the company, not the near term fog, share price drift and distortion generated by relatively small volumes of sales.. total volume for the month is just over 1M shares or c1%

We know our 4 brokers have an average buy target of 200p, and we have now got the Touro project to add to the asset portfolio, with Q1-2017 profits widely expected to be $14/15M, further plant efficiencies to be reported, and a run rate of 10.75MTPA..

It's not Orion as they would place a line of stock if they wanted to sell and directors are in a closed period. All copper plays are down today but clutch away old chap.

Just a thought but if Orion are selling it would be an explanation for why the directors aren't buying - they know there's an overhang so only an idiot would buy in such circumstances. Clutching at straws?

12k more sales and the price drops 7/8p
Where is the justification in that
Talk about manipulation
Criminal what they are doing to the value of a company

Kaz is down 7%, Glen nearly 5% so just going with the flow. They also can't buy at the moment as is a closed period pre results (not that they have done much buying when they could mind).
