Just contacted francis on the link below at the FBU who confirmed the statement is correct and was released by them at 12pm today. Please feel to do the same. http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/assetco-got-a-months-stay-of-execution-in-the-high-court-today-1553546.htm

warwick, the link below says the time was 7am US Eastern time, so that makes it noon UK time. - http://us.biz.yahoo.com/iw/archive.html?id=50720159 I'm not saying the headline is correct. I just don't know.

Does anyone know if the creditors have been offered an equity for debt swap? With the Co. having good long term prospects I would thought they might have gone for that. Would mean more dilution for shareholders, but I suspect management are more interested in saving their own skins than ours!

but that news was released by FBU at 7.00 am this morning before the coutr case has even been heard? someone being a bit naughty with their opinions? Marketwire should be more careful as nothing been announced yet?

AssetCo Got a Months Stay of Execution in the High Court Today LONDON, ENGLAND--(Marketwire - Aug. 25, 2011) - FBU general secretary Matt Wrack said: "Privatising emergency services is stupid and dangerous. The long, slow death of AssetCo is a perfect illustration of this. We still do not know what is going to happen to London and Lincolnshire's fire engines. They are, we believe, going to be the property of AssetCo's creditors when AssetCo finally goes under. I call on the London Fire Brigade and the government to bring the fleet and their maintenance back into public ownership."

Even if we did get a spike to say 3.5p if the court gives the ok to proposals, it would not be sustainable without further news as most shor termers would probably take the opportunity to exit. The only ones likely to make significant profits are those who bought in from 1p - 3p and can hold their nerve until the offer is RNS'd.

they have been reducing for ages they are the ones clearly providing the shares for current speculative buyers ? I would not be surprised if they have not been on the bid below 2.3 and offer above 2.7 and the disclosure is the net difference of their trading activity as someone has been in total control of the share price between 2 and 3p for the past month? Anyone able to deal with Direct market Acess has been able to cream it on this share. market makers dream share massive spread plenty buyers as it rallies and loads of panicing sellers as it falls.

I feel a rush coming on very soon to buy these - and they won't be at 2.7p for long !! Court case should be a fait accompli - the company debtors will jump at the chance of say 25p in the £ as opposed to SFA - upwards and onwards with this potentially excellent company that has simply been mis-managed in terms of debt control. I now feel very confident that Assetco will be saved and existing shareholders can expect a sharp spike upwards imminantly. The court will almost inevitably grant approval to the motions proposed. The government seem to have managed to supress this story so far, however they must be under pressure to find a resolution very soon before they have egg all over their faces re this PFI & London / Lincolnshire Fire Services. I e-mailed SKY News twice several weeks ago asking them why there had been no coverage on this potentially exposive situation - and still nothing !! This is being hushed up in my opinion until a solution is found to keep the company trading. AIMHO

The court hearing begins at 10.30 am ,though AssetCo is at the bottom of the list, and the case may not be heard until later in the day.

Treacle i agree it will be the green light for a takeover or better still a stronger company that can revert to profits and previous highs on a sound footing, unincumbered by the fear of administration. Directors still need to buck their ideas and start to run the company properly though.

We only need the RNS to say the below has been agreed and imo we will get a massive rise. 'If the Court sanctions the convening of the relevant meetings of creditors'.

panic selling ahead of court case do we know what time hearing is today? can see court deferring case again so sides can continue discussions whish will lead to a bounce back to 2.4 2.7 range? but still extremely hard to turn a profit with such a wide spread?
